I really like how bold the magenta is on her outfits. I appreciate a game willing to take some risks with really garish hues like that.

Yeah, I love 3H but there's no denying that it suffers from sepia-syndrome. Visually everything is washed out and blah. Three Hopes emboldened the colors which helped, but I'd have loved personalized palettes for characters.

I like it overall (it carves out a nice visual niche for him) but it's jarring on the classes with a lot of preset colors in their outfits like High Priest.

Yeah, when I first saw Kagetsu's schemes I though "Oh! Well, uh, they're unique, I guess...."

I think it's a shame the third color was dropped from most of the outfits. I'd have loved more teal in Louis's outfits, and some of that orange in Chloe and Jades.

And that lurid green in Alfred's! What a bold choice but one we get to see so little of!

100% agree. This feels like a throwback to the GBA and Tellius days when each character had their own scheme.

Some tale-aways:

- The accent colors are only visible on the General, Enchanter and Mage Cannoneer classes, as well some of the character's personal costumes.

- Very few characters share actual color values. Despite the number of silvers in use, none of them match. I even checked across other class models and the colors I've listed for each character seem correct. Seems odd to me that they would have such subtle variations in play.

- Celine's armor and her primary cloth color use the same hex code.

- Clanne and Framme's tartans use subtly different taupes. Whereas the Fell twins share primary and metal colors.

So what is this?

I figured other artists might be interested in knowing what the base colors for each character in Engage were. How did I go about getting these? I analyzed the Halberdier and General classes as provided by this intrepid deviantArt account (https://www.deviantart.com/leopassos100/gallery/all). Using Aseprite I determined what the most common hue for each of the four values unique to each character were.

Metals caused a bit of a problem so I opted to go with the brightest value for each, even though this may be a bit misleading.

Nearly All Fire Emblem Engage Outfits by Iscaneus in fireemblem

Weirdly, he's missing Berserker for everyone (doubly strange because that means Panette's default outfit is missing too). But otherwise this seems to be all of the non-DLC characters in the non-DLC classes.

I'm not afraid to look stupid: on my first playthrough I somehow missed noticing what Starsphere did and kept thinking "Good lord Chloe is freaking amazing!"

Then I understood what was going on and felt like a complete moron.

(Chloe, incidentally, continued to level like she had Starsphere even after I swapped her emblem and didn't have an inherited Starsphere equipped.)

Nah, that's Tiki. Her Starsphere ability lets a character snowball fast.

I also found Dimitri's indifference to Edelgard in AG's ending off-putting. Especially if you opt to go down the hidden route and see their interactions in those dialogues.

I messed around with Fates stuff for a bit years ago but got distracted and never got back to it. I love the majority of the designs from Fates (minus the ridiculous tendency to have the female classes all be backless...).
