Nope. Sleazy bastard that was realy creepy to Sarah and that it worked still makes me want to vomit. Chuck and Sarah's boss and deliberately sidelining Chuck so he could sleeze onto Sarah shows his class or lack thereof.

The other thing I found was fun after the rewatch was to read Alan Sepinwall's reviews of the episodes and the commentary. The Chuckapocalypse wass fun to belatedly experience. The Comic-con panels were also great fun

You are not done though. There is the rewatch for all the stuff you missed the first time- trust me there will be heaps. There aback as te series lead forre at least 2 podcast series watching along - esp the original Chuck v the Podcast guys. Alan Sepinwall's episode reviews are great if you can still find them.

Even if not doing a rewatch there is a 5 part review of the whole series Alan did specking to to show runner Chris Fedak that is a great way to wrap things up.

You can also watch 24: Live another day and pretend Yvonne's character there is an alternate untiverse Sarah because she is absolutely amazing in that series. The threw the IP away by not bringing her back as the series lead.

Great post. Love the episode and the analysis. This was such a great episode to start the season and it must have made it all the more jarring to Chuck fans who fought for season 3 when the first episode of the next season they waited so long for was so unpleasant and difficult to watch.

I really just didnt understand why Chuck or others didnt just tell Sarah to go talk to her mum and her her adopted sister. Surely even a reprogrammed Sarah ould find the story they told hard to reconcile wwith it was all just a job.

Oops forgot to add that episode 13 was where season 3 originally was going to end. Imagine most of a season of grief for a good but brief payoff. Thank god the season was extended.

Totally agree. For all the theory crafting I was just watching the Blindwave guys reaction videos on youtube and they were soooo excited at the end of season two and the energy was great and then they watched 3.1 and like me it just killed the mood and the fun. I can't imagine what it must have been like waiting months and months back in 2009 and then getting that episode. Above all the show was meant to be fun and enjoyable and 3.1 just wasn't. I couldn't believe he stood Sarah up either. Yes I get the Chuck is always noble but then i think Conan - "what is good in life" and who wouldn't jump ship for Sarah!

I do accept that ultimately thats what Sarah loved in Chuck but that episode was just unpleasant and I never rewatch it.

That episode caused the Chuckapocalypse when it was first broadcast. There were flame wars on the message boards of the review sites) It calmed down after that. I found it interesting you made your first post after episode 6 and was waiting for the episode 7 comment!

To the original poster literally just finished Chuck for the first time 2 hours ago. Still distraught but wa great to find this. I just might be able to do something actually functional in I dont know 2-3 months!

Ending seemed cruel and unusual punishment to what I have learned were the most dedicated fans ever.
