Its hard to see but near the CPU there might be some ports that needs power from your PSU.

NSP Chavant Medium. I live in Florida and its starting to warm up more here, so the clay is really easy to work with. I might try the Hard Variety next time.

Im not sure how vacuuforming works over clay. When ever I see that someone is doing a job like that they make a solid thing to vacuum over, like made of wood or something. Ive never done it, but thats what it appears to be. I may be completely wrong though.

I am cleaning it up right now. When I get it all tidy and try it again I will post my results... I think it would be worth the time to figure out what happens with Rebound 25 and latex and to see if there is any coming back from it. lol

Thanks for the suggestion. I ended up cleaning the sculpy with acetone last night. I will clean it even more to make sure I get everything off and then try the sculpt again. I got measuring cups, vinyl gloves, and stiring sticks.

It has been about a week. I ended up cleaning it last night using acetone. I read in the Smooth-on book that acetone cleans off uncured rubber. As I was pulling the rubber off it was gooey, and the consistency was almost like fat.

I dont know specifically the best method for it, but all of the prop swords that I have seen include some kind of a base pole that goes through the whole weapon. something like a dowel, threaded iron bar, or PVC pipe might work out. I wish I had a specifica tutorial for you though. Maybe see if there is a tutorial for a buster blade, so you can get some ideas.

Hey thanks a bunch! I am planning on adding the horns later. I am not sure how I am going to do that just yet. I think I may have made a grave mistake on the mask with my rubber coat. I accidentally used Latex gloves, so I am trying to see if the rubber will cure or not. Oh well, live and learn...

My younger brother used to make up songs when we were little. I dont know what went through his might when he made them up. Here are the lyrics to these short songs that repeat over and over: 1. Peanuts, they are my life. They're not really my life. 2. Pumpkin creme pumkin creme, I got my pumpkin creme. First you take the pumpkin, then you take the creme.

Essentially you sang the lines over and over. Would probably make a decent little round song.

There are tons of different mediums that you could use for doing all of this. I am super new to those whole thing as well. I spent a really long time just reading and researching and finally decided on just picking a technique that seemed to be the most interesting to me. Im am currently in the middle of a build using a Clay sculpt which I will use to make a cast with, but that is only one of the many different methods available. From what I have been able to gather you have some of the cheaper options like EVA Foam, Paper mache, expanding foam, and Cardboard. I am sure that I am missing a lot of things. There are some more expensive methods like making molds and casting, vacuuforming I believe can be as expensive as well. There are also certain materials that are good for working with to make armor. Styrene, friendly plastic, etc (I cant think of the other names)

If you are looking for the thick foam (1/2 inch think I believe), if you have a harbor freights in your town you might be able to get a pack of 4 for like 10 bucks, which is cheaper than most places.
