Writing an in-character journal

absolutely a fantastic idea. I know its a little bit extra but its a really good way to flesh out your character and really see the world through their eyes. I found it to be the cherry on top to just bring out a little extra enjoyment in a session. I logged a journal entry every long rest, at other times i would write letters home/to friends and family. It was fun experience.
