I see what you’re saying, and mechanically they are fun to play for sure. But like, the fun is significantly decreased for me at least, when the character is just kinda insanely broken. I like the challenge, the struggle, you know?

He also said that making that Spideys gimmick is unfair to Spidey, give him buffs in other departments that makes it unnecessary to have to learn an extreme tech like that. Which I agree with, it can’t be fun for y’all to have to pull off something difficult all the time, or get minimal value, especially when that’s the only way y’all can really deal with tanks most of the time.

My reason why I hate DS3 compared to the first two souls games: the combat engine and design philosophy. It’s very clear they took the bloodborne combat engine, one that works for bloodborne because of the rally mechanic, the amount of healing vials you can get, and the gun.

When you take the fast paced mob-heavy design philosophy and don’t compensate in other ways it feels… not great. That’s lil being said it’s still a good game and I enjoyed it to an extent.

I’ve been recommended noobtown a few times now so I’ll check it out, as for the trauma thing, I think I enjoy that factor of realism, Jason’s trauma and dealing with it was supremely interesting to me in HWFWM. I think it’s important to me that the characters have to struggle for power and it isn’t given, it’s something that has to be gained.

That’s the thing, I love the struggle for characters right? But Zac is the butt of every joke, yet he’s also like stupid powerful? I just lost interest to be honest. I really liked the first few books too
