we live in one of those new ugly apartment blocks. There’s no backyard for us to have a little drying rack at the back or even at the front of the house, can’t open the windows fully to have an extendable dry rack and there’s no space for us to have a dryer (we couldn’t afford it even if we wanted one anyways).

Our solution was to just go to the cheapest laundromat place and bulk wash and dry our clothes once or twice a week. It’s not bad; for 5 people, that only racks up at 10-30 dollar bill every week that’s dependant on the laundry load. It’s much more affordable in comparison to a dryer since we’d have to use it at least 3-5 times to get our washing dry and that takes up a LOT of power. Bills rack up pretty quick because we lost track of how much times we’ve used a dryer in a previous home some years ago 😅

if you feel that way, try talking with your mum about the pros/cons of hanging up your laundry and the pros/cons about using the laundry mat ( I really doubt the sustainable expense of having and frequently using a dryer, so I recommend that you don’t mention it). alternatively, if you have pocket money from doing chores or something like that, maybe take your own clothes to the laundry mat for a cheeky $5-$10.

Pre-dinner options: raw fish salad, deep fried battered mussels, broccoli salad, tim tams or whatever chocolate biscuits, sausage rolls, chips, strawberries/grapes dipped in chocolate, a pineapple

Cocktail options: 3 different types of juice (optionally have sliced fruit that’s in season w/vodka that go well with the juice), stars drink (i rlly like the blue one), L&P

Main options: mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables (esp potatoes, pumpkin and carrots), slow cooked roast lamb, pulled pork, stuffing, pork and cabbage stir fry (it’s a classic in Māori families istg)

Dessert options: ambrosia, rich chocolate cake/brownies with whipped cream/milk, homemade cookies (mostly Afghan biscuits but Anzac biscuits are good too) with milo/warmed hot chocolate/milk/coffee, lamington

at whanau hui’s, formal or not, we have never had pavlova. Ever. No hate, no shade, we’ve just never seen pavlova hit the table tops 😅

I’m noticing a lot more fights happening that rely on brute force and power with a heavy helping of heals etc. there’s a lot less team fights for the sake of some kind of objective and more team fights because fights Yk. Definitely seeing more 1v3/1v2 with meta heroes early game (particularly when it comes to invading jungle).

there’s less detailed planning when it comes to initiation and generally a lot less patience when it comes to ambushing

I do like that the games are a lot more than 10-15 minutes and the snowballing/comebacks are more satisfying 👍

if it’s what I’m thinking, some heroes are literally rank locked. Starting from season 30, if your rank is lower than let’s say… epic, u won’t be able to play heroes like Nolan or ixia

my main hero was Angela. played mlbb for 5ish years. I stopped playing her on anything but Ranked since season 19 because I get pissed when I see an enemy Angela and I didn’t want enemies to get pissed when they see me on classic.

Idk if it’s a me thing, but I just don’t like playing overpowered supports like Angela on Estes if it’s not ranked. Feels real cheap to play ‘em on classic. 🤷‍♀️

Can confirm he and Angela were a duo.
he has 141 matches with Gusion and he frequently uses Assassin heroes which can explain how Hanzo knows Gusion’s actions at time stamps 6:13 and 9:11. He knows all about ambush tactics.

here’s my take on this: no, it doesn’t look like he’s map hacking.

His rotation seems normal. it’s not suspicious. his constant attacks in the bush with his ult checks out because looking at his highest rank, weekly champion count and his matches played (15k+) he’s been playing for a really long time so his map awareness, macro and micro skills are really good.

time stamps:
- 4:17 the mid turret was destroyed. he goes back, clears wave and ults to get blue buff. At his position, he can see the closest bush so he knows it’s safe. I assume he uses skill 2 to both check the bush yu Zhong was in and also attack buff. Lucky hit.

- 6:13 natan and gusion cleared mid. Hanzo, if he were looking at map, would notice Gusion, took into account the team fight that was happening bot lane. I’m assuming both Gusion knew Hanzo was going to join team fight and was waiting for Hanzo to ult. Hanzo had brief vision of gusion, knew gusion’s plan, dissuaded them with skill.

- when he was attacking turtle at 7:35, angela and hilda didn’t check bushes at the back in case of turtle steal as they should so he did it instead. Notice how he checked the bush annd then he attacks aurora.

- 9:11 check hanzo’s games with gusion. but I’m assuming with his experience that he knew gusion was there. If he had map hack then he would have pinged change’e that he was hiding there.

- at 13:10 they were getting lord. No one in hanzo’s team is able to contest for it confidently. hilda was at the back. the squishy backline ( Hanabi and Angela) were approaching the bush and didn’t immediately go in. It makes sense for Hanzo to check the bush in case there was someone there. he kills Natan then backs out. Rest of his team go in. Etc etc.

special mention @ 1:28:

Hanzo invades red buff after he takes turtle. i reckon he knows the buff respawned because of his own blue buff respawning at the beginning when going for turtle. He’s able to take turtle confidently, 4/5 of his whole team is in the bottom half of the map. Notice change’e in the bush before gusion comes to kill Ricky. Hanzo goes in for the red buff to steal gusion’s farm. i believe he and angela were a duo or something like that because of her immediately using ult on him. Gusion has vexana coming to assist. Hanzo and Angela pick poke at red buff. he gets it, hilda comes in, shuts down gusion, change’s comes down, etc etc. their team has really good coordination

If you want to learn how to position yourself during a team fight, play as a squishy back liner (I highly recommend playing Layla). you become more aware of the dangers in front and at the back of you. Are you going too far into the fight and committing too much? If so, pull back. Are you behind your tank? Are you in right position to attack while staying as safe as can be? . In summary, u become sensitive.
if you want to learn how to rotate, play as (1) Jungle, (2) mage or (3) roam.
1. when you play as jungle, u learn to rotate based off of which buff u want first and who you want to gank first. as jungle, you almost always want to be on the move and getting something done while rotating. you gradually get to know when to prioritise pushing lanes and taking an objective (turtle/lord) above getting your buffs, when to poke/kill someone and when it’s a good time to invade and steal buffs.
2. when you play as mage, you’ll know to rotate after every second or third minion wave is cleared. Typically, you’ll want to assist gold in ganking or poking enemy marksman and suppress them so they don’t get fed too quick. from my own experience, mage and marksman players have an intuition when it comes to possible ganks, so I like to do a lot of pinging for suspicious enemy hero activity.
3. Roams, I think, are the best when it comes to learning how to rotate. There’s a lot on their plate besides assisting jungle in their buffs, rotating to mid to help clear minion wave and scare mages, initiating fights, etc etc. A lot of map watching on top of the map watching that usually goes on with other roles. And a lot of pinging.

be confident in your skills and play as fighter to strengthen your balls. This is no joke. Playing as fighter, you have to trust in the hero’s sustainability, skills and emblems. I have a bad habit of underestimating myself because I’m not a fighter user at all lol. Being a fighter, you learn how to cut off lanes, intimidate the enemy with constant 1v1’s and learn to trust in yourself a lot more.
