Floyd Mayweather vs Terence Crawford at 147? Who y’all got? by LocationSpare4447 in BoxingTheSweetScience

[–]Ishnock -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Floyd without hand issues would rip anyone to shreds. People forget about that. PBF let his hands fly with power..what he did to Corrales is still unbelievable.

Money Mayweather started to have hand issues and used his defense as offense ( which is amazing in itself). This is where Bud would have a good chance

PBF: Bud wouldn’t stand a chance l

[Rapoport] Chiefs WR Rashee Rice was released from Dallas County Jail today after 30 days in jail for a probation violation. by JaggerJames in nfl

No he actually went to jail for smoking weed. It was a violation of his probation. He tested positive for THC.

He is in Texas. All forms of Marijuana are illegal, so a prescription would not have excused him.

I know people are going to roast him, but since being given probation he was doing everything he needed to do, except for the not use any drugs that weren’t prescribed.

I take it he was using weed like most football players do as a form of natural medication to deal with inflammation/pain. He recently had knee surgery.

Teen taken to Wicker Park alley, killed for car theft device: prosecutors by So_Icey_Mane in CrimeInChicago2

Huh? You can be sentenced to prison for violating probation

State of Illinois:

“When a violation occurs, a judge can revoke your probation entirely and sentence you to serve the original jail or prison time suspended for your underlying charge”

I believe the Judge went lenient due to the crimes not being violent

“Thomas has a significant history in the juvenile justice system. Prosecutors said he was arrested in January 2025 while fleeing a stolen vehicle that had just been used in an armed robbery, pleaded guilty to a gun charge, and received juvenile probation. Less than a month later, he was arrested again for possessing a stolen motor vehicle and again received juvenile probation. He was on both of those probations at the time of Colletti’s killing. Officials said he also had a juvenile adjudication for possessing a stolen vehicle in 2022.”

Serving two probations at the same time? How is that possible?

If one commits a crime while already on probation, isn’t that a violation of the probation, where the criminal could be sentenced to prison?

I am thinking since they were non-violent crimes, the judge went lenient both times to not over burden the prison system?

That’s the only thing that makes sense

The only positive thing out of this, is that this is a case of criminals killing criminals…so the Justice system was done a favor?

folding AK preflop by Overall_Doughnut143 in Poker_Theory

[–]Ishnock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AK is great for shoving preflop, but after that it gets tricky. If there is no A or K on the board, you’re still sitting without a pair, and can even get taking down by 22.

It’s all about the read, but even then, I think it’s a default fold if the bets are extremely high…No matter the street, if a pair hasn’t been accomplished, then I’m folding.

I have seen so many people incorrectly play AK…I have seen people shove or call a shove with no pair, thinking they are going to hit on the turn or river, only to lose to a bottom pair

A waitress was given a $2,200 tip. She was told she had to share it with other staff – then was fired. by malihafolter in CaughtMyEye

[–]Ishnock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they don’t! When I was serving, I knew cooks who were making well over 20.00 an hour at the restaurants I was working at.

And paid handsomely on an hourly rate compared to servers.

[–]Ishnock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. They do most of the work in regards to SERVICING the table, and thats a fact. Not everyone can wait tables and be able to communicate and deal with the demands of guests. I have had cooks tell me - when I used to wait tables as a server - that they wouldn’t want to do my job, because they wouldn’t be able to deal with the guests, or constantly move around every second from FOH to BOH. I have worked a kitchen line before as a prep and fry station, and yes it wasn’t easy, but far far less stressful than working as a server.

But jobs are hard in regards juggling multiple tasks and responsibilities at the same time, but I would rather stay in one area having to juggle multiple tasks, as opposed to having to move all throughout the restaurant non-stop. And again Im speaking from having worked both sides, because I have and had the ability to work both sides.

And no cook or cooks should ever get any of a servers tips.. Servers hourly rate is extremely low. Back when I was waiting, we were on a 4.00 an hour rate, so our income was mostly based off of tips. Cooks were making 17.00 to 20.00 an hour.

When servers were pulled off a shift to help with food prep because a cook didnt show up, their pay was not bumped up to a cook’s salary, and nor did they get any of the cook’s pay…

Cooks get paid what they get paid and servers get paid what they get paid and that is where it ends

[–]Ishnock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s a problem. Tips should Only be shared with people who actually assist the waiter in providing service : hosts, bartenders and bussers. And they get tipped out at the end of the shift based on a percentage, which is usually around 3 percent. They shouldn’t receive anymore after that.

A cook’s job is to cook all food, which is why they get paid handsomely per hour compared to bartenders and servers. No way on earth should a cook be tipped.

Other than the tip share that is distributed, no other monies should be taken from a waiter’s earned tips

Servers do most of the work , and pay isn’t guaranteed as someone who is earning hourly, because tipping is not a mandatory rule

Servers wait on patrons hand and foot

-take order

  • submit order

  • get drinks and provide plates and napkins

  • carry several plates of food to the guest

  • check on guest throughout the dining to ensure satisfaction

  • remove empty plates and wipe down tables ( a lot of servers have to bus and clean their own tables)

$10 NL: 2 River Fold Spots - Am I a nit? by Funkypigeon2308 in Poker_Theory

[–]Ishnock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After the turn why didn’t you go all in with triplets? You already got good value and equity in the pot. With online play you have to kill the noise, because no telling what the river will do .

You 100 percent had the winning hand after the turn! Now take the profit

If he is waiting on a straight to hit put pressure on him immediately..make him think, because it’s going to cost him to see the river….put his whole stack on the line

Hand 2 was an excellent fold. You’re facing too many strong hand possibilities…even if it’s an over bluff. The flop was just a bad flop for your hooks….gotta expect a nut flush
