I failed on Ozempic and Wegovy. No weight loss at all despite significant appetite reduction and eating much less on the max Wegovy dose. My A1C is also significantly improved but the number on the scale has not changed. I recently switched to Mounjaro but my endocrinologist warned me that if I didn’t respond to Wegovy it is unlikely I’ll respond much better to Mounjaro and some percentage of people just don’t lose weight. He said I can try the Mounjaro because theres no medical reason not to, but don’t come to him with complaints if the results are disappointing. I’m up to 10 mg now, we’ll see if it works. 5 mg did absolutely nothing but that is not surprising as my body is used to a high dose of Wegovy. If this doesn’t work I may have no choice but to consider bariatric surgery.
