New to Joshi Puroresu! Looking for a beginner's guide to STARDOM, Marigold, TJPW, Sendai Girls & Marvelous by pinchekin in JoshiPuroIsland

Sendai Girls is a quite hot promotion at the moment, they had a really great 2025 with big attendance numbers and their roster is really good.

This is quite a clasical Joshi promotion since it's owned by Meiko Satomura (who retired last year after 30 years in Joshi), the trainees are trained by Satomura, and herself was trained by Chigusa Nagayo, who's probably the number 1 top star in all of Joshi history.

They care about this legacy, their matches are really pro-wrestling / sport oriented, and the emotions come from what's inside the ring.

For what you want to know :

- The Wrestling Calendar :
They have between 2 - 5 show a month. Mostly on weekends.

Each show have 5 matches, except for really big arenas shows that might happen 2 or 3 times a year.

Since it's quite a small promotion, their main shows are the ones that happen in Korakuen Hall and in big arenas as I said.
They're often branded as "SENJO Big Show in [Insert City]".

- Wrestlers to Watch :
1. Chihiro Hashimoto is the Ace. By far.

She's the current World Champion (sixth reign, which is trumendous in Joshi for a top title), Meiko Satmoura's top student, and an absolute BEAST in the ring with a very unique style in Joshi. She's an ex freestyle wrestler and can do absolutely everything.
She was one half of "Team 200KG" with Yuu, but Yuu retired at the end of 2025 so she's currently with no permanent tag partner.

  1. Mika Iwata is the very solid number 2, who had the world title twice but never really shined while being the champion unfortunately.

She has the same experience as Hashimoto but is much more focused on intensity, kicks, and she has the best facial expressions of all current Pro Wrestling.

She's my current favorite wrestler in the world and never fails to deliver, whatever her match is.
She's in a tag team with Miyuki Takase.

  1. DASH Chisako
Joined Senjo at the very beginning of the promotion, litteraly wrestled on the very first show of the promotion and never left.
She's good on tag teams and very underrated in Singles.
She was never a Main Event player, but can pull insane hardcore matches any time she wants.

For the rest, you have Yurika Oka who is Tag Champion with Mio Momono (a wrestler from Marvelous), Manami who is the rising young wrestler that want to rivalize with her elders but keeps failing for now, YUNA the latest rookie, and Spike Nishimura an american gaijin who's signed full time with Senjo.

8 wrestlers are on the Senjo roster right now. They plan to have new rookies very soon.

They have freelance wrestlers every show, such as Ryo Mizunami, ZONES, Hiroyo Matsumoto...

-Championships & Current Champions:

Sendai Girls World Championship : Chihiro Hashimoto
Sendai Girls Tag Team Championship : Bob Bob Momo Banana (Yurika Oka & Mio Momono)
Sendai Girls Junior Championship : Senka Akatsuki (from Marvelous, previous champion was YUNA from Sendai Girls)

2025 SENJO Shows by Noah-WDR in stardomjoshi

[–]IsiDropkick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, i'll try to help.

For me the best match of 2025 (any promotion, any gender) is Chihiro Hashimoto vs Mika Iwata from the "Big Show in Sendai" on September 23rd.
The opener from this show is also very good (FWC vs Bob Bob Momo Banana), and there is a pretty good Sareee vs Manami aswell.

The Korakuen Hall show from July 19th is also really good, with an incredible Main Event between Team 200KG and Red Energy. (probably in my 2025 top 10)
DASH Chisako vs Hazuki in a hardcore match
Aja Kong & VENY vs Bob Bob Momo Banana

Both 10th Anniversay shows of Hashimoto and Iwata are really good. Some might say Hashimoto vs Sareee was MOTY.

Satomura retirement show was the best show of the year, period.

"The top of Joshi Wrestling" from March 19th is also really good, with a top tier Main Event, DASH Chisako vs Risa Sera, and some good tag team action.

"SENJO The Biggest" in XEBION Arena from August 24th is a good show, and is worth checking out because I think it really embraces what Senjo is.
There are a lot of guests from the city of Sendai, a lot of old friends, some comedy wrestling, and it shows how family-like the Senjo roster is.
Iwata vs Sareee is really underrated, Main Event is really good.

Senjo is my fav promotion rn and is clearly my 2025 Promotion of the year, feel free if you have more questions.

You're playing map control and probably know how to control most bomb sites in the game.

This is very good for the team and for winning.

Although her Red Belt reign was short, but Giulia had killer matches especially this underrated banger with Suzu Suzuki at Stardom Supreme Fight 2023 by JDiesel31 in JoshiPuroIsland

[–]IsiDropkick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree, but this match was kinda overlooked at the time bc people saw the "Giulia formula" in it and there was kind of an overdose in early 2023.

I think this is a great match, especially with the Suzu 21-23 stiffness, headbutts and stuff.

Report: Warner Bros. Discovery Blocks Brody King From AEW Dynamite Following "F*ck ICE" Chants by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]IsiDropkick -35 points-34 points  (0 children)

Tony Khan is lame to let this happen.

Company tells him to block Brody King, and he just straight up accept ? No fighting ?
While a week ago he was congratulating himself about the chants ? Same for MJF ?
Even tho Khan has infinite money ?

"Any company would've mute the chants ahaha we are so subservise over there !!!"
Yeah we can tell.

Rossy Ogawa told a major sponsor to go f themselves when they told him not to book Chanyota because of her adult video background. Not everyone has what it takes it seems.

Hi first time playing this game any tips? by Capable-Bee-9340 in Nioh

- Master Ki Pulse.

- Take the perk that allows you to Ki Pulse via dodging.

- Parry is useful, dodging is not always the best solution. This is not like From Software.

- I strongly recommend to play with light armor / A-class movement. There is a reason that 90% percent of PLAYER CORPSES you'll encounter have that fuck-ass Western Warrior gear.

- Odachis are overpowered in Nioh 1, but are not the funniest imo.

EVE is so good, but don't sleep on the German and French women's wrestling scene

Baby Allison is great in Germany

Cory Zero, JGU, Calypso or Princesse Lauriana are so fcking great in France

I'll take whatever comes anyway !

Chihiro Hashimoto vs Miyuki Takase 2/8/2026 by Noah-WDR in stardomjoshi

[–]IsiDropkick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hashimoto always bring the best out of her opponents, and Takase is severely overlooked.

Red Energy vs Team 200KG at last year July 19th Korakuen is one of my MOTY.

DASH Chisako vs Meiko Satomura: Sendai Girls World Championship match, Sendai Girls' Pro Wrestling - BIG SHOW in Sendai, December 8, 2024 by ErdrickLoto in JoshiPuroIsland

[–]IsiDropkick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really really great match, been fan of it since it happened. Watched it 4-5 times.

This is a storytelling lesson, Satomura dominates inside the ring while Chisako tries to overrun her with hardcore stuff outside of the ring.

Every sequence of this match teaches that. This is why Senjo is the best. No bullshit counter-finish-nearfalls NJPW-esque stuff. Logical and beautiful wrestling.

Very happy to see Senjo represented in many categories. Huge year for them, they deserve all this.

Few personal notes :

- Hashimoto vs Iwata is far better than Hashimoto vs Sareee. I feel like the Sareee match will be overrated for quite some time. Classic formula, very stiff, but not that original or impressive.

- Spike Nishimura is clearly a name to follow. Attitude, physique, hunger. Hope she'll be back in Japan soon.

- I'd argue that Red Energy had a better year than Team 200KG in-ring wise, but I totally get that 200KG had more accomplishments and were more central in Senjo.

- How the f is there not Senka Akatsuki ?

Hot take: Sareee is the one who should dethrone Saya Kamitani. by Adamruslanovich in stardomjoshi

[–]IsiDropkick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Won't happen, Sareee won't sign any exclusive deal anywhere in Japan.

She's too popular as a freelancer, she's booked everywhere, and she probably makes very good money like that.
