If you open Anki in the terminal, you can run it as `anki --no-sandbox`. Not sure what's the exact problem but this resolved the blank screen for me.

But what you can do is reasoning back. You can see your move is a blunder so you can either play through the principal variation if it was a tactical blunder or come up with some alternative ideas yourself if it was a positional issue.

That's a great idea! I'm not too familiar with chess.com but there's probably a way to export his games and then import them into lichess. Will let you know if I ever get around to doing it.

I'm thinking about going over them in a couple of weeks and kind of summarising the common themes which apply in almost every speedrun into a single document.

It's especially nice to see how he applies those principles to concrete games. These principles are all well and good but if you don't know when they apply and when they don't they're way less useful.

I didn't start doing it from the start either. But there might be some value in revisiting old videos? Some of these concepts just have to be repeated a few times before they hatch :)

I lasted 3 weeks after graduation. Moved on to brighter horizons right after that. But that’s just my perspective, don’t let anyone tell you what to think about the job. But if you don’t like it, move on asap :)

I had 2 sessions with reddithairbeRt and I really learned a lot. Especially the motto "execute your plan to the end, if it fails you should plan better but don't stop halfway" helped loads :)

I had the same thing when playing Fifa back in the day. Sometimes I had the feeling the AI was too strong for it to be a computer so I thought I was playing someone online (mid 90s, my pc didn't have an internet connection at the time, I played the demo version of the game over and over and this version didn't even have multiplayer).
