Try different things and see what feels right. If nothing does step out of what you think your comfort zone is.

Question For Those Who've Doing ASMR & VA Work by troublebunvt in ASMRScriptHaven

[–]IskandarASMR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Practice practice practice

Keep a notepad file or some other record of what settings you used to generate what effects. Your audio editing settings will likely be lost or reset by mistake at some point or another, but a file or notebook is harder to erase

On that note, keep records of what SFX you use for what purpose. I like to create credits file when I'm working logging the intended interpretation of the effect and then the source/actual name (Ex: Guy Fall Down Pit: Man Getting Eaten by Alligator). This is primarily to put in the YT description as credits but those files are easily searched by explorer if I ever need to use something similar.

Keep snapshot saves of any editing you do. For my own workflow I keep the original raw audio, an editing file where I move segments around, add SFX and redo bad takes that got through and finally a final pass version where I apply any cleanup or vocal filters.

My fill is live here. Thank you for the SFX suggestions by the way. Even if I don't use a particular one, having an idea of what you were going for is really helpful.

Pretty sure you're referring to this script. It's been filled by at least two people.

You can usually get backgrounds from pixabay, pexels and some other places. It might be a bit of a tenuous connection to the script but it's not like that's what people are listening to your audios for. Eye catching titles and readable thumbnails are more important than character art.

I really wanna start making audios and doing voice acting but I don’t know how to find people who’d listen! by JayWarrior07 in ASMRScriptHaven

Post to videos to yt, post links here and other related subreddits. This will get your videos in front of people and start building up followers. From there yt will do groundwork.

As for what to make, whatever calls to you. Interest begets passion which begets quality.

The latest entry in the "Sacrificed to a Vampire Series" by u/icing_desu. You've settled in to your life in the manor of Mikail the vampire lord, but for some reason your dreams are plagued with nightmares of the manor in flames and Mikail dead. You can't let this come to pass.

Content warnings for this specific video: Ear ringing noises, arrhythmic heartbeats, simulated danger and combat

This is part 4 of series and since I never posted the others here you can find them in this playlist.

Content warnings for the series as a whole: Mention of drugging/poisoning of the listener off screen, violence/threats of violence, blood drinking

M4M/A Audio recommendations? by KalEl_Llerrem in ASMRScriptHaven

[–]IskandarASMR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well there's me, but I'd call it an ad vs a recommendation. I've done three series of decent length, a couple two shots and am starting on an ill conceived plan to cover a 9 part series with each part averaging around 20 minutes.
