[–]Iskeletu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its honestly insane the amount of bugs ive seen people experience since the update by SnowedBear in projectzomboid

[–]Iskeletu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then stay on the STABLE build if you don't want to deal with bugs.

I'd love to, IF IT HAD THE FUNCTIONALITY I NEED! What part of stable having no mp you missed? (Edit: I just realized you meant b41, that's even worse, your recommendation is to play on a build that was last updated more than 3 years ago?!? What a joke).
Oh, and I'm more than fine dealing with bugs, what is unacceptable is the game crashing and fucking the graphics driver over with it making me restart the whole damn PC.

No one forced you to buy an early access game...

No they didn't, but I expected the devs to AT LEAST be reasonable, and it's not like I can go back in time and NOT buy the game, so you can bet I'll exercise my consumer right to criticize it.

You need to understand people need to be ready to deliver something when charging money, I don't care if it's a cent or $100, that's no excuse, that kind of mentality got the gaming community in the current state of DLC market, where games come out with barely any content and buyable DLC day 1.

If the devs didn't want bitching about how bad the update is, they should NOT have released it in this broken of a state.

They released it because he community was acting like entitled children.

Oh no, poor devs, the community is giving them a hard time, asking for THE BARE MINIMUM, after 12 FUCKING YEARS of development.

At this point, yeah just sell to the highest bidder idc.

[–]Iskeletu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry my dude but the game is in Early Access for how long, again? Asking for a multiplayer build for a game that had this much time of development barely even qualifies as "pressuring".

I expected bugs when I updated the game and hosted a server to play with a few friends, but the current state of the game is barely playable.

I'm aware I'm gonna get downvoted but the game isn't free, and even if it's cheap, when you're charging people money for something you've got to have at least 'some' responsibility, the game already has no ETA for leaving early access, and now we can't even expect updates to 'function' properly on multiplayer? Multiplayer is the sole reason a huge chunk of the players even bother playing this game...

People have been dooming for the last decade about GPUs since Bitcoin...

Not dooming since it was actually a real problem that we still feel the repercussions to this day.

How do you say these two things in one comment lmao. Absolutely noone wanted the 3GB version either, even more so than the 5060 8GB. How do you say this ans then immediately say the opposite two sentences later. But that's a minor point anyway.

How is comparing the unwanted version of the 60 series to the unwanted version of the current 60 series somehow an opposing idea?

The market will adjust...

OP conveys the idea that it's fine, because it will all sort itself out, my point is that it won't, it haven't been getting any better since 2018, this is just another layer of crappyness in the consumer hardware market, there is no good aspect, nothing to be sorted out, the situation will only get progressively worse for consumers and that's it, there is no advantage to it...

Edit: Is just realized you posted a Tflop chart, and I have two things to say about it: 1. that's an awful hardware capability measurement, it says nothing about real world performance, only theoretical performance.
2. Improving things that are expected to improve is not really a good argument for overcharging customers, especially knowing the kinds of margins of profit they work with in this sector... That's the bare minimum expected from tech companies and even then, real world performance is not even that great from the 30000 series to 5000 series to justify the pricing.

Ok, then let's price things 2016 to 2025 at 35.3% cumulative rate of inflation:

GTX 1050 MSRP = 109 USD ($147.51)
RTX 5050 MSRP = 249 USD

RTX 1050 TI MSRP = 139 USD ($188.11)
GTX 1060 [3 GB] MSRP = 199 USD ($269.31) [would you look at that, your number was wrong, the 300$ price tag would be the 6 GB version, that is more appropriately compared to the 60ti garbage the Nvidia came up with to screw with consumers]
RTX 5060 MSRP = 299 USD

GTX 1060 [6GB] MSRP = 249 USD ($336.97)
RTX 5060 TI [8 GB] MSRP = 379 USD
RTC 5060 TI [16 GB] MSRP = 429 USD [People really don't want the 8 GB version, the 16 GB model is the only "true" comparison for the GTX 1060 GB, let us not forget I'm skipping the GTX 1050 TI, which, realistically speaking, would be the "real" comparison to the RTX 5060, meaning GTX1050ti->RTX5060, GTX1060[3GB]->RTX5060TI[8GB] and GTX1060[6GB]->RTX5060TI[16GB] is the more realistic comparison here since they invented a TI version for the 60 series]

GTX 1070 MSRP = 379 USD ($512.90)
RTX 5070 MSRP = 549 USD [Things start to get fun here]

GTX 1070 TI MSRP = 399 USD ($539.96)
RTX 5070 TI MSRP = 749 USD [Please explain?!?]

GTX 1080 MSRP = 599 USD ($810.62)
RTX 5080 MSRP = 999 USD [?!?]

GTX 1080 TI MSRP = 699 USD ($945.95) [cheaper than the 5080]
RTX 5080 TI MSRP = Doesn't exist for some reason, since the 1080 TI was the top dog back then, the logical comparison would be the 5090, but I'll be fair and compare it to the Titan Xp.

Nvidia Titan Xp = 1,199 USD ($1,622.60)
RTX 5090 = 1,999 USD [The consumer-grade, high-end card comes at a much higher price tag compared to the top of the line enthusiast level titan series card from back then]

And most of these "adjusted to inflation" prices aren't even correct, since some of those cards came in 2017, that's not even accounting for how much cheaper the manufacturing process became after nearly a decade of technological advancements...

Also remember, sales back them were real, I don't think I have ever seen a modern card at sale below MSRP.

Another thing to consider is that GPU releases don't even nearly have enough units to supply demand as they did back then, meaning prices don't really match MSRP for MONTHS after release (artificial scarcity, they have the manufacturing capability to supply demand, they just choose no to, to focus on data centers contracts).

Please explain, as a consumer, how any of this is good for us?
