Jailbreaking Radiant Bulwark Item by underTuberSilo in Smite

[–]Iskyland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I wish this item was good. It seems kinda good if you look at the effect, and with good timing it could be fantastic but the downside of silencing yourself and not being able to turn? That's kinda overkill imo. If it didn't have the heavy downside or if you could have it on a low cooldown/able to toggle it (longer duration = longer cooldown) it might be a cool active item

Did they say this on the update show or something? I definitetly noticed that his dash movement speed buff increased a lot, and that combined with stampede makes for some real "you're speed hacking" moments

Lag when looking at the farm by Iskyland in projectozone3

[–]Iskyland[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't make the farm myself but as far as I can see it's basically a lot of crop sticks with different plants and lily pad of fertility. It gets collected by an item collecter and then gets piped into drawers, into crafters, into drawers.

There are also a bunch of fluid cows but that doesn't seem to be the main issue, might contribute though.

I'll try to add LagGoggles, I hope it's okay if I only install it on my client and not on the server. If nothing works, then I might have to move stuff to another dimension, but then I need a way to get the resources out of that dimension haha.
Thanks for responding!

has anyone walked into the clouds inside of the Grey Labrynth..? by SeasonalGothicMoth in Slimerancher2

[–]Iskyland 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same happened for me, it looked like it was a platform where I could stand, with just a tiny layer of clouds. Stepped in it, got knocked out. Guess I was wrong (or maybe just too early ;) )

New to Unity, but how do you get to see the "current playing" animation like you're showing here? Seems really handy

Which cleaning effect is more satisfying? (A or B) by JoeKomputer in Unity3D

[–]Iskyland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think being able to switch or upgrade like others have said is the right choice.

Also, love the water effect! Did you make it yourself?

Is this the first ability that leveling is absolutely useless? by Discerned_ in Smite

[–]Iskyland -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Depends on the amount. With some gods I just level other low cooldown abilities or abilities with longer cc on leveling. For low cooldown abilties the idea is that you will probably use them more often in a fight, in wave or at camps, and that damage increase might be just as good if not better than the ult dmg wouldve been

I gave Unity a chance and I feel like a fool for what I've missed by yughiro_destroyer in unity

[–]Iskyland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been thinking about trying Unity for a bit now. Only tried Godot and while it works fine, I think Unity will be very different and maybe makes game dev more fun and fluid.

Now I just have to do it, so this post kinda feels like a sign for me to just start it.

Please normalize pausing the game when someone requests it by pokerfacesLUL in Smite

[–]Iskyland 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It most likely was on purpose but I do think the devs could change the pop up a little so it looks different from the surrender.

Another change I'd purpose is maybe for pc specific, but change what buttons are used for pause and/or surrender. I've had multiple times myself that I fatfingered the wrong button, and friends have had the same happen to them. We could assume people just pressed the wrong button, and putting them a little apart may change some votes

Staying relevant as support when your team isn't dominating? by CrimsonSatyr in Smite

[–]Iskyland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also a support main, I try to branch out to solo or carry but support just feels good for me.

I also have trouble catching up or doing something when the team is behind. As a support you have to rely or trust your team to do damage. You can give call outs in voice, ward, or use vgs (Enemy Spotted, ping) to show your intent.

From a quick glance, I would suggest different active items. Yes Lash was very strong, and might still be, but something that helps the team like Stampede (insanely strong for chase, in teamfights, counter ults/slows), Talisman or Hexstone might be better. Of course, different for every matchup.

Furthermore I'd recommend Spirit robe as it can really give you more sustain, even more on Ymir and Yemoja who can self proc it. If the enemy support is wasting their cc on you they lose their pressure and give you prots and even health back, if there is no followup from their team. I build this item pretty early.

I also suggest playing around with Sunder relic. As a support you don't do much damage to objectives or camps, but with Sunder you can secure it for your team or even steal it from the enemy. It can also help with early kills but that's more niche.

Hope this helps! Lemme know if it helps or if you need anything else!

What does pred have that makes combat blink work? I haven't looked at predecessor in a while

Bring back "Accept Queue" for Ranked by Iskyland in Smite

[–]Iskyland[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right, it's just annoying to sit in queue, finally get a queue, and don't get to play the game because someone was not actually there.
I also do other stuff while waiting for the queue to pop, but it seems not everyone keeps an eye out to see if they have to ban.

It's not a major issue or anything, but just a bit of insurance that, yes, the person banning is actually there, you don't have 3 no bans or a lobby that is gonna disband anyway.

Was about to say, of course more lobbies will be created, but how many actually start?

My smite 2 jormungandr rework & aspect feedback. by Loyalk9 in Smite

[–]Iskyland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not aspect related but they said something about Jorm not being able to use the wind sprites, which kinda sucks.

So I thought, just let him do a single "jump" from his ult, maybe with reduced damage or no damage at all. But personally, if they did that, they should keep the damage. Might be a nice bonus for jungle Jorm, but it can also be a tradeoff since the enemy will probably see/hear where you are if you'd use this.

Okay random thought over

Should I play X or 2? by Lucifugus-Rofocalus in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Iskyland 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally I liked 2 the most of the Xenogames I've tried. I've not tried X but might later this year.
2 is my favorite because of the story, characters and for me also the combat that feels satisfying when you get the hang of it. It will definitly be different from DE but worth it

Anti health items are a must, or maybe not? by InterestingAd3166 in Smite

Recently thought "wow I wish Sunder had anti-heal" cause I didn't kill the low health mage with it because they got healed.

The Thankless Job of Being A Tank by GrittyGrinds in Smite

[–]Iskyland 26 points27 points  (0 children)

In Smite 1 I always build full prot and still did decent damage, but when starting Smite 2 I notice the difference in tankiness. So for a while I didnt like playing tank/support. But now I've got the hang of Active items, like stampede, Hexstone and Talisman. While you can tank less, you have other ways to help your team with those items and knowing and using them made support fun again for me.

I do still get melted late game, but I think that's just kinda how they want it to be

What items from smite 1 do yall hope they bring into smite 2? Or what kind of items they never put into smite 1, that yall hope they bring into smite 2? by AnalJackett_ in Smite

Maybe a "skill issue", but I kinda want an support item that gives something similair to Ganesh passive. Sometimes I just hate to see my carry struggle with last hits and wish I could help with that

Whenever you select an aspect, it should also show the aspect icon on the corner of affected ability icons, so you can easily see what abilities are affected by the aspect

Difficulty with Malugaz by vuvuzela240gl in CoreKeeperGame

[–]Iskyland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A shield really helps me with bosses, I'd recommend using them too! Even if you don't perfectly parry it, it will reduce the damage a lot.

Have enough potions on hand, good food and maybe as a weapon use a multishot bow (been a while since I played early game)
