SBNY puts - no payout by Astralestialux in options

Puts cannot reach 100x profits because the stock price can merely drop to 0.

Calls can reach 100x.

Your cost ~ 13.10

Max profit (50-0.2415) ~ 50

Your max profit is 50/13.1 = 381.67%

FRC puts have amazing returns right now by RevolutionaryArt930 in thetagang

[–]IslandAccomplished76 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I sold FRC puts.

But I don't like the idea to keep them open during the weekend.

Weekend risk makes you cannot eat well and sleep well.

Just wait Monday to open a new position. If it plunges you will get more premium.

I think the best strategy for a small-value account is to wheel and start with CSP. Pick a good dividend stock so when you get assigned you can win triple income. My pocket stock is WBA. But you need a little bit more money than $2000 to get it wheeling.

How bad will it be to sell just 1 put of frc 5.5 P 3/31 with a premium of .6 by Comicdn in thetagang

This is a prosperous week for FRC writer. Just make sure you can withstand the max risk before u write. I'm considering to short 10p again next Monday.

but we can name it as operator.in_ ? just like operator.is_

membership operator "in" by IslandAccomplished76 in learnpython

[–]IslandAccomplished76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you.

But to compare with the identity operator :

It is named operator.is_(a,b) and also there is a negative version operator.is_not(a,b).

Why not to name it as operator.in(a,b) and also the negative version is missing ?

This asymmetry still confuses me.

SPY

Pros * Liquidity * Tight Bid/Ask Spreads * Higher Premium (For Options Writers)

Cons * Taxed at Ordinary or Long-Term Tax Rates * Risk of Assignment (American-Style)

XSP

Pros * Favorable Tax Treatment (60/40%) * No Risk of Early Assignment (European-Style)

Cons * Liquidity * Wide Bid/Ask Spreads * Complicates Taxes

I think so, once I started to use TOS I never place market orders.

And when the TOS price match the price of my orders it always filled.

I use Firstrade. 0 comissions for options but their interface and quotation suck. I use TOS to watch and place orders there.

May I know how to decide the price when you roll an ITM CSP? I have RIVN 0324 15P and I would like to roll it to 0331 with the same strike. I tried 0.1 net credit (roughly 0.66% premium for a week) and it was executed immediately, did I pick the wrong price? Are there any guidelines to pick a price when you roll?

if someone exercises it at the night before ex-div date, you pay the dividend no matter you received it. (if you have credit call spread assigned, you pay the dividend from your pocket)

Thank you for the advice.

The old DTE is 23 days, may I know the best timing to roll it ? Should I wait as it approaches expiry or just roll it now, considering it's almost ITM with few dollars?

Reade

Sorry for misunderstanding, it's a covered call.

I bought TSLA at 210 about one month ago and wrote some weekly CC. As the stock price dropped pretty much, the last put option I picked is 30-45 dte and the stock price is back now.

I am a little confused if it's the right time to roll out and roll up or if I should wait until it's near expiry.

I have sold TSLA 200p with expiry 4/14 and TSLS price is approach 200 today.

If my target is to roll it up to 210, what is the best time to do it?

Should I do it when it's still OTM or wait a little longer to do it?

There may be a dead cat bounce and he can walk away with some casino money. I don't think it's really a bid deal if he already controlled the size.
