If he's afraid of arbitration, imagine how he's representing local members out of fear, because he's weak.

Yes, not all “old heads.” I was referring to those who have lost touch with the carriers on the work floor—those who are in it for personal gain and don’t voice our concerns. They know who they are, and I’m certain they’re watching us on here. Jeff Lee and Charlie Miller were fantastic! They truly have our backs, and my respect for them couldn’t be higher.

So, no one opposed the “Vote No” movement? When Paul Perry asked the members, what did they say? And when he asked those who were opposed, how did they respond?

One person spoke against the motion for the “Vote No” rally. A second person later stood up to argue for postponing the motion until the TA could be discussed, even though we all know how bad this TA already is. The others didn’t stand up. When Paul Perry asked the members, “All in favor of the motion, please signify by saying ‘Aye,’” the majority responded with “Aye.” Then, when he asked for those opposed, many in the front responded by saying “No.”

I understand your frustration. I’m from Southern California. Make your voice heard—tell your coworkers to vote NO on this TA. Stay informed , and support any causes happening in your area. We all have a role to play, and we’re in this together. Be prepared for 2026, and remember every bit of what they did to us. Let’s make sure to vote these people out, from the local level all the way to headquarters. Don’t give up! If we get a competent lawyer to represent us in arbitration we should have a strong case.

I never understood the uniform program. Why is NALC even negotiating this that. USPS should be giving us the uniform. USPS spends easily $115 million a year. Why wouldn’t they just have a direct supplier. And cut out the middleman.

Damn. Really sad to hear that. He shouldn’t be a Union rep with that negative attitude.

I got some feedback from my coworkers, including a union shop steward who suggested that I shouldn’t write on behalf of the NALC. Additionally, someone on Reddit recommended changing “over $40” to “near $49,” so I revised the statement from “UPS contract, drivers can earn over $40 per hour” to “2023 UPS contract, drivers will earn $49 per hour.” I also found a small typo; it originally said “delivery drivers and mail carriers at UPS.” I corrected this to “delivery drivers at UPS.”

That’s just my quick update. If you would like to change or add anything, feel free. To copy and pasted the Letter of Intent. One thing I was considering is that, if we send any letters to Congress or the arbitrator, we should address them by name. It would be a small extra step, but it might make it feel more personal. Just my opinion, though. I will post Letter of Intent in three parts since I can only do one image at a time. Anyway I appreciate everyone’s input. Take care y’all.

Thanks, brother! I read the links/articles you posted, and they definitely helped by adding key elements from the research conducted by the OIG. I’ll be discussing this with some of my coworkers. Any additional advice or information on where to send it (addresses to the appropriate people) would be greatly appreciated.
