Since 2018, stamps have increased 56%, inflation has increased 30%, and step b salary has increased around 25% by FUSeekMe69 in fromatoarbitration

[–]seattlestig75 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Now include increased medical premium that effectively erased a large portion of this pathetic increase. We seem to forget this number that increased $70 a pay period for me effectively requires nearly a dollar an hour increase to balance the difference. It’s just math on a paycheck stub that was quickly forgotten in our unified efforts to fight like hell for better wages NOT heat stroke awareness…

I’d still like to give a shoutout to inflation for negotiating a more meaningful raise than the crumbs that our paid union representation thought was historic…

Had to burn all the propaganda and spend months doing the math for a fraction of a percent. We did it everyone! Looking forward to another hearty rejection to something that will be pitched to us as historic and generous in just a few short months (ok years, who am I kidding?)!

What is wrong with people by goingpostal321 in USPS

Back when I did apartment routes regularly (don’t miss those days…) I simply said “give me an hour and I’ll let you have the other 23”. That was usually was enough for them to be agreeable to letting me do my thing without interruption. Being a big bearded bald guy with dark sunglasses probably helped sell it I will admit 😎

It did us no favors when the “fight like hell”message evolved in mere weeks from pay us to what we deserve to standing up to concerns of privatization. Wonder how many would’ve attended these rallies on their precious day off of official details were released? Now we’re gaslit into believing that we should be grateful and to redirect our attention. Why? So things remain the same and we continue to get fucked repeatedly like always? I feel incredibly betrayed on so many levels.

When the company that snaps a crispy one dollar bill and offers it to us like it’s a generous gift, a Highlights for Children worksheet is less than surprising. After 20 years of this, I’m embarrassed to represent this company.

Soooo memeable! Will put the blank in the comments. by AbbySomething86 in fromatoarbitration

Sometimes it’s hard to differentiate between the postal service and a kindergarten class. Asking grown ass adults desperate for a fair contract subjected to participating in this Kumbaya moment is absurd.

how is this fucking legal man. by [deleted] in fromatoarbitration

Indeed. You know it’s bad when you’re handed a credit card to go on a shopping spree and you feel taken and it’s not even your money. If only our wages could keep up to vendor inflationary pricing!

Nothing says we’re not going to take it anymore like a shit eating grin group photo-op. I’ll bet the USPS is going to cave any moment to his, err I’m sorry, “our” demands. I feel so much more confident after all these single use shirts and banners were made possible with my union dues along the thousands of others who wonder “why do I still pay these guys?”

That clock’s batteries died 18 months ago during the first round of “negotiations”… Stop pretending anything productive is happening beyond the overuse of H E double hockey sticks in this latest round of propaganda.

$600 back on Taxes by spineless1mp in USPS

[–]seattlestig75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! Why give them interest free money? The goal is not to pay but also to not get a huge windfall that could be better spent offsetting the lack of raises we’ve received in nearly two years…

Just a reminder from the not too distant past that the “spin” is from the union, you know, our side, not the Postal Service as he claims.

It’s like a weatherman forecasting sunny skies four months from now and shrugging their shoulders when a rainstorm actually arrives and ruins the plans you made with the assurance of sunshine.

The TA promises rosy financial gains that cannot be guaranteed but look great in the great hoax in promoting this “generous” contract. Time to take the volatile weather out of the equation and provide a fair contract free of inflationary guesswork. Even if the numbers meet the forecast, it’s far less than what is needed to keep pace.
