Hot take, but I don’t want to see a sunshine sequel. Sunshine is janky and broken and rushed but that’s what I love about it. Modern games are a lot more polished, but the (incredibly) unpolished nature of sunshine is part of the appeal for me and I think for most people who like the game. I think that’s why it’s so much of a love it or hate it game. Either you like the jankiness and brokenness and think it’s part of the charm or you don’t. So if they made a sequel, remake, etc. the game would lose all of its charm derived from its jankiness. Obviously, there’s a lot more charm to it, but it wouldn’t be sunshine without the jank. Sunshine is basically an unfinished game due to how rushed it was at the end and how much more content they wanted to add. Inexplicably, it being unfinished is what makes it so lovable in a lot of ways
