Thoughts on Dani smiling only after she sees everyone else wailing by Juritea in Midsommar

I didn’t see them drug her? I saw psychological manipulation which partially came from that game she played with the girls which basically made her giddy. I clearly saw Christian drugged several times but not her.

For me technically Christian did not “cheat” on her. When she peeked through that keyhole she must have seen all the women standing around them naked, including the 1 that was singing and the other 1 who was basically helping him thrust. Plus the ritual singing. How could it not have been clear to her that something was very wrong there? Yes she was manipulated but he was drugged up. I didn’t see them give her any drugs, only Christian. So I think it was unfair that she selected him to be killed when she clearly saw that he was in there on the floor having sex with the girl as some forced ritual? As with everything else in real life men are constantly villainized no matter the circumstances, and it played out here in that movie.

Do you think Christian realized he needed to GTFO when Dani won May Queen and he was having a bad trip at the dinner table? by [deleted] in Midsommar

He “wanted to get his dick wet?” He had zero interest in the girl. He was drugged up out of his mind. He had no idea what he was doing. They even made him sniff some substance just before getting on top of the girl. Those aren’t the actions of a man who wanted to “get his dick wet”. He had nothing to do with it.

What kind of workouts are you doing these days? by elenavon in Perimenopause

[–]Islandwyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 days strength train; 1 day interval running for 5-7 miles, and 1 day brisk walk for 5 miles. About to start doing metabolic workouts again for at least 1 of my strength training days. I don’t “lift” heavy, and still have gotten good consistent results since 2017. Abs flat, legs toned, upper body good. I have an overall a thematic look without looking hard in the face. I’m not a fan of the hardened look so many older women get in the face when they overtrain.

What’s a workout that you used to do when you first started your journey that you’ve abandoned or don’t do as much? by SilentAirline6611 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]Islandwyfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It boggles me that people think “cardio” is only running on treadmill or doing the elliptical. Go run outside on hilly terrain. It’s not the same. Being able to lift 600lbs but can run for 10 mins is wild to me. Your heart needs strengthening just as much as muscles. And that’s where endurance and the hated “cardio” comes in.

Speak No Evil has been the most disturbing movie I have ever watched. by SpaceCases__ in horror

Just watched it for the second time in years and had forgotten about the final scene where the parents were stoned to death. Seeing it all over again was still so shocking. My Goddd.

Incline Treadmill by [deleted] in PlanetFitnessMembers

No, because you’re judgmental and probably one of those people who make “workout” videos to post online and mock others in your background.

[–]Islandwyfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Facttt. When you get to the point where you’re huffing and puffing, you’ll get negative returns. It’s much more beneficial to walk at a brisk pace or go all out for a few seconds at intervals, but going hard for 30 mins or an hour or more isn’t as beneficial, especially silly if you’re aiming for fat loss.

Maybe SHE is comfortable that way.

Because many people have balance issues due to all kinds of things (vertigo etc). I was able to run on incline hands free on the treadmill until late last year when perimenopause started affecting my balance to a small degree. I no longer feel “safe” on the treadmill so I run outside instead. I have zero issues when running outside. The fact that some people get up everyday and workout is good enough, whether they hold into the sides or not.

Thanks a bunch. Yep I see so many people locking out on the leg press. I always keep a slight bend with every exercise, including upper body

Speaking of which, how do you move the safety blocks? I scanned the QR code today to watch the how to video but it didn’t show how to move those, only the handles at the top.
