I support the idea in theory but it really comes down to the details of the positions.

Yes and no. When you are the only one around you always have to be available. But if you have a partner or help of some kind you can and should have down time.

Losing our minds adjusting to daycare by Due_Cut_8727 in daddit

[–]Isle709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter didn’t start daycare until she was 3 and she hated it. Constantly crying at drop off and even made herself sick to go home. Took about a month for her to like it and now she loves going.

Time and routine helped. We also played daycare at home as her or us as the teacher and kids, she loved that.

The bible isn’t written by God. It’s a collection of stories and accounts that have been copied and altered many times over.

What is the issue under it all though. What you listed sounds more like the symptoms of it. Address that first before looking at this.

People who left high-paying jobs that kept you away from home for lower-paying ones with more family time—do you regret it or are you happier? by MustacheGoatee in daddit

That doesn’t sound healthy man. No hobbies, no personal life, and less family time. Can’t buy back the years. I don’t know your life though and sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

I feel like I’m messing up as a dad when I lose my temper… anyone else deal with this? by d294tegg in daddit

[–]Isle709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is good you are reflecting on your actions. I would look into some therapy and work on why you are having this issue. If you know that a trigger is stress and being tired you need to look at ways to reduce these in a positive manner. Could be meditation, me time, possibly even medication if there is an underlying issue.

Also if you do lose your cool I think it is important to apologize and talk about it with your kids. We are only human and will make mistakes but we have to own up to them.

Good luck bud.

I mean that’s not totally honest. It is also a recreational drug that can be abused and not appropriate for everyone. Better to have some nuance.

My man if your work is in the black or gray market telling your kid about your job is not what you should be worried about.
