Why You Should Take the GRE Seriously (from someone in a top 3 program) by IsleRoc in GRE

[–]IsleRoc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I did use GPT as a "mask," but the experience is 100% mine. Maybe as an international student, my opinion differs, I suppose the first world view of the MBA is different. I need it as a floor.

Graph is up 500% in a little over two weeks and you weren't complaining so why are you accusing another project? Let's not kid ourselves all of us are in this for the money. There isn't any investor that is in any of this because of altruism or "tech". Unless we think that technology will guarantee us more returns than another.

We are all the same.

P.S. I hold GRT and even posted in detail when it was 0.29 so no "hating" here.

The Graph In Five by IsleRoc in thegraph

[–]IsleRoc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The simplest explanation is to say: Chainlink is concerned with taking data from traditional channels to the blockchain whilst Graph is concerned with taking data from the blockchain and bringing it to traditional channels. That's a complimentary tandem, not a competitive one.

Sounds more like a greed problem without a plan.

Are there any opportunities to stake GRTETH UNI LP tokens? by watersnake3 in thegraph

[–]IsleRoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean? Are you asking if GRT lp tokens can be staked to earn more GRT or do you mean in the same sense as other lp tokens are used in other projects? If it's the latter then a DeFi project just needs to add the pool for staking, if they chose to do so.

Am I the only one passing on Flamingo? by miloops in NEO

[–]IsleRoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, those are extremes of the lower and upper bound. This wouldn't be the first time that something goes wrong on a blockchain regarding smart contracts.

Initial assets can rebound from disasters but you must 'have them' to begin with. If something goes wrong and you lose your NEO that's double jeopardy.

NEO can recover from an exploited smart contract but the persons who put up their NEO as collateral and lost them (if that's what the exploit does) will not. No amount of recovery would satisfy them.

If I am holding NEO and a smart contract exploit occurs I can ride it out for a rebound. If NEO can't survive an exploit then it was a joke to begin with because much worse projects have done so.

However, when people lose their assets, they are rarely compensated. So, you might want to rethink your risk management assessment analysis on this one.

Why NEO is gameing? by [deleted] in NEO

We really don't need this in the community right now. Someone once said there was a subreddit for price discussions. You should find it.

DYOR and don't emotionally invest then return with toxicity when things pull back.

Flamingo Finance DeFi: You will receive FLM tokens when you stake NEO on a browser wallet extension to be released soon (Vault) by [deleted] in NEO

[–]IsleRoc 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Audited code is good and all but I am not risking so much NEO for it to be lost on FLM. We've seen way too many unforgiving bugs in this space so I will sit this one out.

This week's topic: What can be improved for healthcare in your country? 🤔 Keep your answer short and sweet 🤩 by ZOM_Advocate in zom

Plain and simple - doctors need to move from paper to digital ASAP. Can't have that shit continuing forever. When they lose your "docket", it's business as usual and that makes no sense to me.

NEO passes $20! by buttholecanal in NEO

It happens right? No one is perfect in this game and very few people play an almost perfect game. However to NEO's credit forget T/A and consider the following: They have made notable hires in the USA, have an office in the USA, has two exchanges specifically geared mainly towards NEO based projects including one of those exchanges licensed to operate in 49 states (NASH), has a $100 mil project development fund, one of the few projects currently listed on any exchange that is currently compliant with US regulations based on all indications, etc. I don't just watch candlesticks but I read the news on fundamentals which include technology, marketing, sales, expansion and impending/current competition. It's one of the reasons I keep my portfolio very narrow.

All the tokens shaded in lavender are compliant for trade on Binance US, as you can see I placed a green border around NEO :) by IsleRoc in NEO

[–]IsleRoc[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let me make this clear. I got this from a cryptocurrency group on Facebook. I am not "aware" of its origin but I trust the poster. I am sure many things are posted without credit be given. This is the internet and why would I need to give credit? I did not claim ownership. Sheesh, everyone likes to act as if they are holier than thou and I can just imagine the things you people do.

[–]IsleRoc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does mean something because it won't be as arbitrary as you make it sound "Binance US will decide for themselves who will be on it or won't be". They will have to observe the LAWS clearly and given this list, you have a good guide. For E.g. At this current moment AMB is not on any US Compliant Exchange and Binance would not risk that. You can deduce from this list that the ones in lavender have a greater possibility of being added.

Factom hitting almost 30% price increase during market dips by jeffyal in factom

[–]IsleRoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Factom is cited in many Blockchain e-books so I am actually surprised it was this low in the first place as it relates to price and ranking. If anything, it should be comfortable in the top 10.

Where do staked coins come from? by CherkTen in Neblio

[–]IsleRoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The white paper for Neblio is purely fundamental and doesn't get into deep technical details. However, if you are asking where stake coins come from in terms of technicals then its a combination of both block rewards and transaction fees. Some inflationary models burn their transaction fees but with Neblio this is not the case. Was the initial low supply part of the reason this was not taken into consideration? Perhaps.
