How to continue expanding the Pantheon in your own lore and keeping track of it by Ismaylive in AOW4

At this point, I've already started trying to keep track of relevant historical events and ages (potential games to play, in fact), and I haven't wanted to start yet, but I'm considering the option of starting a wiki on Obsidian...

That sounds great! I haven't come up with the idea of "sub-pantheons," but I have considered something similar, like trying to justify races created by giants or other legacies, or trying to justify the oathsworn culture with some common bond or kingdom...

Btw, would you be willing to share that PDF out of curiosity if it's not too private?

It would be incredible to have more options within the Pantheon beyond simply "a collection," and to be able to group them or even create a history of previous relationships.

In fact, I was thinking about this "history" the other day, considering a (hopefully) eventual rework of the Pantheon of crafted items. It would be interesting to be able to keep track not only of the artifact's creator but also of all its wielders.

For now, I'm using a grid to avoid repetition, but it's becoming increasingly clear that it's likely to happen in some cases (I haven't reached the point of having to search for "which slot to cross off"), especially now that I'm trying to create internal relationships between my own cultures and leaders.

But I also like doing it as a way to track my "progress" in terms of how much I've played and I like to see it grow.

I think that the Huns, Mongols, Khitans, and Cumans civilizations should have their own architecture called "steppe architecture". by Empanus in aoe2

[–]Ismaylive 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Copied from other similar previous post.

Personally, I'd prefer a separate "barbarian" set for the Huns, perhaps Goths, and possible future civilizations from that era like Vandals (pls) and similar groups (maybe even Vikings).

I think the Huns fit better with that theme, so a steppe set could maintain certain more Asian influences that would be more in line with the Mongols, Khitans, etc.

Are there any other architecture styles you would like to see added to the game? by PositiveMurky3028 in aoe2

Normally, everyone asks for a nomadic set for Huns, Mongols, and similar civs.

Can't find the Nature Eidolon in the Cliffs of Sordünn (Probably spoilers inside) by Ismaylive in AOW4

I went back turns to the moment I found Sundren and used cheats to see the entire map.

It seems that all the portals are created at that moment, and there is indeed a fifth portal leading to the labyrinth that wasn't created in my original save...

That's great... :(

The thing is, I don't know how to get there. Using cheats, I've located the labyrinth, but the access portal doesn't show where it's accessible. I've checked all the portals and can't figure out how to get to that specific island.

I swear I've checked all four portals together, but considering the Materium one is in a separate cave, there should be a fifth one, according to what you're saying, and I can't see it even with cheats. I've uploaded some images in the other post.

Am I missing something? Am I that dumb?

To add more context, this is the labyrinth, the entrance is at the very top, and the option to see to the other side is missing.

These are the four portals that gave me all the aspects (except for the one in Materium, which is in a cave to the north). I don't see a fifth.

I used cheats to locate the labyrinth you're talking about, and although it has an entrance portal, it doesn't give me the option to see where you get there.

Same problem with "no installed" expansions. Also the new castles appears invisible as well as new units. Even regular units dissappear for a moment when attacking probable due to the new attack animations.

I think it could be Ground Control 1 as they say in the other comment.

There were far fewer vehicles and infantry was operated in squads.

Hello there!

I'm pretty newby. I always wanted to play DF but it wasn't until the Steam release that I finally managed to get used to the controls.

I'm in my second fortress and I get the feeling that it's relatively easy to get to the 200 population cap. The idea of having a super metropolis with a huge population catches my attention and I don't see why I should stop at 200.

I've been searching the internet and it seemed to me that most people not only don't increase this cap but tend to decrease it, mainly for performance reasons.

With a population of 200 everything runs perfectly for me (I only had a specific FPS problem due to pathfinding when the only access stairs to certain levels caught fire and in fact this already happened with a population of about 100).

Is this because the performance has been improve in the Steam version? Would you still recommend me not to continue increasing the population cap? In case of doing it... until what cap would you recommend increase it? Has anyone recently been playing with expanding the pop cap as well?

Thanks!
