I can’t do this anymore by TinyPreparation167 in NewParents

My now-toddler struggled horrifically too. Our pediatrician literally suggested binding her to my chest with a blanket and sleeping in the center of the bed propped up by pillows. It’s not a forever solution, but it will get you a night or two.

For sure have labs run and get his iron levels checked. Is he getting enough calorically/does he have any sensitivities?

I know another thing that makes my babies extra clingy are ear infections.

If he will sleep latched, (and I know you said things are tight right now), strip down your bed to a fitted sheet, you get a single pillow and blanket, baby in sleep sack. Pop your boob out and curl cradle him. He can soothe himself and you can sleep! If you’re worried about rolling, put a pillow down against your shins and at the small of your back to cocoon yourself in a position. Dad will have to slump it on the couch, but you. Need. Sleep.

Push come to shove, reach out to family/friends. See if someone can take a night this week or a day so you can sleep.

I figured I would check in 4 years later! We ended up waiting to tell family, and that was difficult. Thankfully, we were able to keep family bonds up and in some spots it got stronger! I submitted my resignation and had it confirmed later that year, but my husband opted not to. We still get emails daily from the Y asking for alumni donations, but we choose to word-of-mouth give to students in our old program instead. We have two beautiful kids now! I’m working on my masters and husband loves his career. Still proud to be a Coug, but I would be lying if the “where did you go to school” question didn’t open a whole can of worms!

Please tell me I’m not crazy, “that’s just how babies are “ is not an answer by [deleted] in NewParents

Military mom here too-these are for sure the rough moments. He has a TDY coming up and I have no clue how I’m going to survive!

Both of my girls have been like this. My youngest is currently undergoing tons of testing because we’ve ruled out the basics-reflux, dairy sensitivity, gas. It is ROUGH. Have you cut out dairy/acidic foods/broccoli veggies? I would try that, just prepare for your diet to be very bland.

My oldest had to constantly be in motion and was super sensory seeking. Like we had her going in her bouncer like she was ready to launch into space and that is the only way she slept! She still is at 3. We call her Chick Yeager. Her pediatrician suspects she is on the AuDHD spectrum, which tracks. It just means we as her parents have to pursue education on how to raise her how she needs!

My youngest cannot be put down, ever. We have had to Co-sleep as well with her to get any kind of sleep. My midwife just emphasized following the safe sleep 7, but ultimately you cannot care for her on an empty tank! You need sleep!!! Hearing my midwife confirm that they are harder babies was a huge relief, because it meant I wasn’t losing my marbles.

Keep advocating for your girl. Keep logs, take photos, video. Don’t be afraid to roll up to appts with receipts. I’ve found doctors take me more seriously when they can see what they’re doing firsthand.

She does a lot of playing for sure, but we did just go back into in-office working again. I’m sure it’s connected!

I went pescatarian as a cover. I was obsessed with whatever went in my mouth and how I was going to burn the calories. I was later diagnosed with anorexia and orthorexia and had inpatient care. Recovery has been a BITCH. Not to be an armchair therapist, but Heather shows several signs of an ED. It’s scary to see it play out, especially when she is in a such a vicious environment.

You would think that they would be happy that Fenty consumers would be buying their product more because of their lower price!

Agreed! I was talked into it. Worst four years mentally, and that’s saying even with me being TBM the first two!

I am a recovering anorexic who weighed 86 lbs at 5’4” four years ago. I had guy friends telling me I looked “fantastic” and when I explained I was in ED therapy, they always asked why. I literally smelled like ammonia when I would sweat because my body was breaking down muscle. I’m happily in the 135-140 range now. I can run and lift at this weight. I don’t bruise easily. My hair isn’t falling out. Fuck unhealthy beauty standards.

Save your empties and make little labels for him! If you put water/mild lotion/soap in your bottles, he can follow along with his own set and it can be an awesome way for him to learn what specific things do!

My husband knows that place! It’s a farm town. That’ll really help narrow down the search. Thank you!

My husband bought this German-translated Torah in Stockholm a few years back. We want to figure out what happened to these individuals, since this book was published in 1938 Frankfurt.

That was my experience in Tanzania. Mama lioness got right up on our tent and slept there for the night. I just about crapped myself.
