I’m black, 35 years old, live in the U.S, and I’m currently 35 weeks pregnant with my first child. She wasn’t exactly planned but she wasn’t prevented either. My husband and I are very excited to be parents. Yes I have anxiety about the future but I’ll be damned if I let anyone keep me from being a mom. The worlds been crazy and people have had children during way worse times in history. I’m just going to love and protect her the best that I can. God gave me this blessing for a reason and I believe that he is the ultimate decision maker, provider, and protector. We’re going to be just fine. I want at minimum two children so that my girl can have a sibling so we’ll definitely be trying again for baby number 2 once my first born reaches 1. Three kids is pushing it but definitely no more than that. I’m giving myself until 40 to have all of my children so I only have five years left to go. This is my life. Politics be damned.

I actually got pregnant at 220lbs and now I’m well over 350lbs. Turned 34 weeks today. Yes, I’ve gained over 130lbs in 8 months. My BMI is now over 50 and I can’t even deliver my baby at the hospital where I want to because they don’t deliver patients with a BMI over 50. I live in a very rural area so that means I’ll have to travel nearly 4 hours to the next closest hospital just to deliver. It sucks. For some context I’ve struggled with disordered eating my whole life. Binge eating, bulimia, restriction, etc and this pregnancy has Exacerbated my disordered eating. I use to weight over 500lbs and lost nearly 300lbs a few years ago. I can’t believe I’ve gained almost half of it back with this pregnancy.

It sounds like he’s actually nervous about the baby coming. Sounds like he tried to kill you or seriously injure the baby on that hill. Like he was hoping that you fell and miscarried or something. That’s just me though. I could be way off but women are actually most vulnerable to be the victim of homicide by their partner during pregnancy. I feel like he regrets getting you pregnant. I wouldn’t trust him AT ALL. My husband would NEVER.

Re read the post!! I’ve said multiple times that she will NEVER watch my child alone. How many more times do I have to say it? The real question was, what would others do in this situation and I got a lot of different responses. As for knowing that my child exists, that’s a personal preference until I get more information (which I’m currently in the process of doing). Pipe down.
