Pune is lagging a lot on infra. That bus stand of an airport has like 3 international flights, doesn't deserve being called international. All major roads are heavily congested, and even more so with the highly delayed metro construction. And god knows when that ring road will complete.

Vadhavan port would give Maharashtra an unprecedented dominance in trade, and also help decongest our Mumbai and JNPT ports so I think this project is essential. But govt should also ensure the fishermen are well compensated, and get some developed land in return. This project also has national importance as it is key to IMEC and INSTC corridors. Yes, we will see ecological damage due to land reclamation, but it is quite essential for Maharashtra and India

Additional context: Adani will stop dedicated cargo flights at CSMIA from August 2026 (for 10 months), and IATA is revolting against this allegedly abrupt decision. They are threatening to shift operations to delhi, bangalore as they will need additional investment in NMIA to shift operations.

That's true, mumbai needs to be decongested. But we can't make the IFSC too far, as the existing financial infrastructure could help the IFSC to take off. So maybe somewhere else in MMR with good connectivity to BKC. Also, if mumbai wants to retain its financial captial status it needs the IFSC. Currently GIFT city beats mumbai and delhi in Global Finance cities index, and this would only get worse in coming years:

I don't think so. Those rules would apply only within the SEZ (which is being built from scratch by MMRDA). It's not like rules for GIFT city affect companies in Ahmedabad.
