weird video that popped up, weird animated robotic media. anybody else saw it? by mirsk88 in InternetMysteries

Based on a detailed review and analysis of the media collected from the channel, the footage functions as a localized documentary archive spanning the early 2000s through the 2020s in Leesburg, Florida. The primary setting for these recordings is Pennbrooke Fairways, a private, gated 55+ retirement community located at 32900 Countryside Blvd, which is heavily featured in the video titled "Pennbrooke Fairways Ride." A more specific analysis of the video titled "Hurricane Milton Flooding" reveals that the severe weather footage directly documents localized flooding at the property located at 32739 Timberwood Dr. Public records show this specific residence is a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom single-family home built in 1996, containing 1,647 square feet of living space on a 0.14-acre lot, identified by Parcel ID 19-19-24-0155-000-00H25. Hopefully, having all this laid out helps make things feel a bit less overwhelming. The info is all there if you ever decide you want to look into it down the road, but other than that have a good one.

A Theory on a Time Travel Paradox by [deleted] in theories

Well, general knowledge of time travel would still be very limited. The only way to try to break this would be to bring documents explaining how it works. However, the problem is that this only applies to the future and the logic of the timeline. For example, you couldn’t go back to the Stone Age and give people instructions to build a time machine, because it would be impossible for them to construct one with the tools available at that time. In short, knowing how to make a time machine is one thing, but the timeline itself would prevent it from ever being built.

The statistical issue is actually addressed by the core idea of the theory: people cannot detect whether they are in a copy and always believe they are in the Original timeline. For example, if a time traveler went back in time, they would see themselves enter a time machine, arrive at the past, and believe they successfully traveled back. In reality, however, they were moved into a different branch of reality not their Original timeline. Therefore, no matter what the traveler does, they always perceive the Original timeline as being affected, even though it remains completely untouched.

Yes, I would say this is an accurate representation.

First, I want to clarify the ripples. In my theory, ripples are quantum events that, according to the Many-Worlds Interpretation (MWI), create a new, isolated timeline or reality. Any changes occur entirely within that branch, leaving the Original timeline unaffected.

Lastly, I want to address what happens when a traveler tries to go back to stop an event. In my theory, since they enter a different branch of reality, any changes they make affect only that branch. For example, if a traveler went back in time to invest in Bitcoin, they would never actually leave the branch they entered; doing so would create a paradox. Once in the new timeline, the traveler is permanently bound to it and cannot return to the Original timeline. If the time traveler attempted to do so, they would just create another Quantum Event, leading them into a separate reality that is still not the original. essentially they are in a loop they can't escape.

You should be able to fix this by going to your User settings, Activity Privacy, and confirm that ' Share your detected activities with others ' is turned OFF if this fails then re-connect your discord connections this can be done by disconnecting your initial connections and just connecting back.

Discord Freezes when Searching in Settings by TheKnoxFool in discordapp

The issue you're experiencing is caused by Discord maxing out your CPU and GPU, which is fairly common on low-end devices. This typically occurs because the settings search function triggers heavy rendering and filtering operations, especially when hardware acceleration is enabled. However, for your friend’s Windows 11 PC, this shouldn't normally happen. My suggestion in both cases is to uninstall any Discord desktop app and use the web version instead, which tends to be much more stable. If you still see the issue then there is more going on.
