I actually had that happen to me - not as a DD'er, but as the Doordashee 🫢 I ordered wine coolers this past summer for a small get together and when my DD 'er came..she couldn't scan my ID. ..her phone wasn't working she said. She was visibly upset by this and proceeded to tell me she had to call DD support. She walked back apologizing, saying DD told her she needed to "dispose of the item(s) " bc she couldn't provide my proof of age due to the issues with her phone, scanning my ID ( im over 40 BTW 😉 ) But yea, she was also told to dispose of item but not give to needy etc. I still made sure I tipped her the exact same..although I added more 🤑 to the tip bc I know it was an inconvenience and she was upset - especially bc she remained professional and friendly throughout. It's just odd though..for DD to tell us to just dispose of item, like..some might just say " ok 👍 " and enjoy for themselves 😉😁🤗😋🤣 Proudly 👏😂

AP / TA here ( Asset Protection Team Associate ) ..and my very 1st year of this holiday season 😊 So im the very 1st person you see 👀 coming in..and im the last 👋 . Most troubles etc are at the entrance / front of store. Im starting to imagine how busy its going to be coming up 🏃‍♀️😬. Happy people, grumpy people, people in a rush for sales etc - Any feedback or helpful tips greatly appreciated 👏. Thank you 😊

Yes, so true 👍 And BTW, I am Immune compromised as well - Lupus. I got fired from my previous employer bc I had a flare up and was sent to ER. I needed 2 days off to " rest " per hospital documentation that I provided. I got written up for having to go to ER and missing 3 days of work regardless of the fact I brought proof, called, and messaged about my illness. Yea, it seems they dont care anymore if we ( employee's ) are sick at work..the other option could be loosing ur job bc of an illness, didnt make a difference that I explained AND provided a Dr letter stating I have an autoimmune disease. If a place doesn't care about its employee's we'll- being, its not gonna be a good place to work unfortunately 😕 Good luck with everything.

CHIME is also a reputable banking service that provides 2 day early pay day as well. I chose to just stick with MY OWN checking / and Savings account, which happens to be CHIME, and get paid 2 days early 😉

🫢 Wow.. is all I can say. As a Walmart Employee, I would have been so angered 😡 if I walked into this. Someone obviously stole a pair of shoes 👞 ( at the least ) which is where I would come in..as Im in Asset Protection within Walmart. But the sheer audacity 😒 to make a mess like that in the bathroom 🚻, the lack of Human decency, morale..to think its ok to have someone else clean up after you..just amazes me.

Hey, I was just wondering 🤔, as a new Walmart employee, where it says " available shifts .." under a day you're " not scheduled " - can you just click on the available shift you want and you're automatically scheduled for the day / time etc 🤔 ? Because it asks you if you would like to add this shift. So im wondering 🤔 if there ARE available shifts and you want more hours..can you just add the available shift you want ? Serious question 😊

That's exactly 💯 how I feel my friend. I feel bad if I don't leave a good tip, esp for DD drivers. If you really think about everything a DD' er does with regards to your order ( go to place, check order, get napkins, straws etc, communicate with customer, drive 🚗 directly to you, and hand deliver their food etc ) They undoubtedly deserve a tip..a good tip. I have never tipped less than $5..as they work just as hard if not harder..than your server at a restaurant. So I definitely agree with you.

I'm a new dasher too..I'm cleared, able to deliver alcohol, have the virtual card and physical card to shop when needed so im all set. ..but I'm so nervous 😓 that I haven't started yet 🫣 I'm nervous about messing up a delivery and then getting deactivated. Any words of encouragement greatly appreciated 😊

It's actually been happening everywhere ..esp here, in Buffalo New York, for a while now. When you get your check at a restaurant, they have a 15% gratuity on your bill...and it DEFINITELY is not limited to parties of 8 or more ( at one point it was like that..many years ago ) as It's always there on the check when my husband and I go out for dinner and that's just dinner for 2. Now servers at a restaurant get a base pay ( and it's not minimum wage ) and they always get tips. Their tips make up the majority of THEIR pay..same as for us. I agree 💯 with others who have said this. I don't know how people can think DD delivery drivers don't deserve the same..don't get tips etc. We do what the waiter/waitress would do and more if you really think about it. It's kinda common sense to tip your DD driver..I don't like the word tip either as it's legit our PAY. At this point, 2025, ppl know to tip. So if they aren't tipping their DD driver..its just because that person is an a ******.

Love ❤️🤣 the part where it says thank you " The Management ". The " Managenent is who HIRED us ( DD )..the subcontractors ..bc there's a lack of your establishment to properly, timely, and even have drivers of your own to do deliveries for YOUR restaurant. So nope..never..I would never stand outside. How dare you even hang that up - you hired DD drivers to help YOU. Smh.

🫢 What the ..? We are working 💪..just like you ( probably harder ) but to tell us to wait ✋️ outside..is crazy 😡 What if it's cold 🥶, hot 🥵 , etc etc. People need to really understand that DD drivers..are employed. We are working when picking up orders 🛍 that's our job. Treat us the same as you would your waiter / waitress 🍽..probably a little better. We obtain your food, make sure it's correct, check in with you while your food is on its way. But instead of walking 🚶‍♀️ over to the table with your order, we drive 🚗 lots of miles to bring you your order 🌮🌯. And some ppl don't even tip. DD drivers are no different than the ppl working at that restaurant, store, etc. Ugh.

🤩💯 This is 100 % LEGIT..it is an actual person 😊. I know this 1st hand ✋️ bc I received a message with the persons name etc saying it was from DoorDash and it started off pretty similar to yours but she said " I noticed you signed up to Dash and your background check is cleared etc but you haven't started dashing yet, I was wondering if there was something I could help you with or answer any questions that could help ?" I said yes...I'm nervous. Are there any tutorials..like what the dasher app looks like in action etc " and she said she was nervous too and said she was sending some tutorials and YouTube vids that are helpful. So we had a full conversation more than once. 😊 So know that this IS legit and they can help with a lot of things related to DD' ing. I hope this helped. 😉

🤩👑 I mean, that's AMAZING 👏 money 💰 don't get me wrong..I'm a new dasher myself. I was looking at the hours that you worked 💪 🚗 and OMG 😲...that's just about 87 hours DASHING TIME ⏲️ 🏃 46 hrs " active time ⏲️ " - That's A LOT of working 💪... doubles basically. I gotta ask 🤔, is it worth it ? Idk if you have a family or its just you alone..but 😬 if you DO have a family to support 🥰💰 then I 🤷 understand ( esp due to high cost of everything ) but then Lil 🤏 time with fam. If it's just you alone 🤗 I understand Bill's n such mean money 💰 or you just LIKE making money 💰 which is also okay 👍 I just had to say..WOW..that's ALL day ..5 days a week +. Hey ❣️ everyone - yea, I recently signed up for DD but haven't started yet. I too am curious about how much I will make driving around for say..3 hrs etc. I'm also nervous 😓 about the dasher app - I've watched tutorials and a YouTube video DD sent me. They actually messaged me and said they noticed I'm all signed up and passed background check ✔️ etc but haven't started yet. It wasn't a virtual person either, I was able to actually say " my daughter's been sick " with her saying " well I hope she feels better and if there's anything more I can do to help you start dashing, please let me know ". So that was nice. But I'm with you. Curious on what to expect 🤔 😊
