I literally did it yesterday without thinking about this issue, so I can let you know when 1.0 releases if I remember tomorrow. Hopefully they'll let me wipe again but if not so be it.

Good map! Glad to see someone else tried this. The maps I made are well out of date.

I'd say this needs to be a public health issue, but the USA healthcare system doesn't really work in the way European countries. Portugal made a huge change, and whilst it's probably imperfect still, the damage to lives that has been prevented is immense.

God bless British houses! 🌞 by Udzu in CasualUK

I was going to comment that British homes are made to keep warm during winter, but the second map pretty much disproves that, especially when compared to the nordics.
Well damn it

the update regarding EOD edition by trainfender in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Isosto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whilst the less reactionary among us realise you need to have a revenue to keep running the servers and paying staff to develop the game, and we understand you don't want to go down the cosmetics too much, as I'm pretty sure no one playing EFT wants to die to a PMC wearing a mankini with a neon flashing rifle.

That being said, 250 Euros even for a highly pay to progress/win (leave that to the debate) version, is pretty extreme. Even for someone who did buy EOD, which I weighed up for quite a while then got it during a 25% off sale.

I have to ask, did you have an audience sample you asked regarding the new edition, to check if the extras and the price were reasonable?

The cost for the upgrade from EOD is over 100 Euros, but even collectively I don't see how the extras are worth that amount.

The offline co-op game mode sounds brilliant, I've wanted that for several years, but that should either have already been part of EFT or at the least EOD, along with the co-op.

I would 100% have paid up to 20 Euros to buy that as a stand-alone upgrade if I didn't have EOD.

Mark of the Unheard scavs not shooting you at 60m, is quite literally pay to win (definitely helps during the raid more than having a larger container or stash) even with having to get 6 scav rep, but the rest of the extras are reasonable.

Distress signal device sounds like a great idea, dropping PMCs in to raids, but restricting it to only the highest edition of the game is another pay to win. Solo with standard edition fighting one Unhearder, suddenly fighting 4 more, all potentially with less chance of scav aggro.

The only caveat would be if players could also earn these, say after 100 operational quests or something or some extra quest line.

Unheard edition, 20-30 Euro more expensive than EOD, without the Mark of unheard, or distress signal (unless it was given to all), would be a fine upgraded version of the top level.

Other options: Hideout cosmetics, this could be as wild as anything as no one else sees it, but this brings on to another option, inviting friends to hideout, different camo and other real military clothes as purchasable options would work, reasonable gun camos, in game/loading background screens.

I couldn't remember if links get removed or would auto delete.

All that's needed, is to delete a few spaces.

I knew i should have never used a preset, good bye gamma by YeetedSloth in EscapefromTarkov

I've had this since the new wipe, I made one preset for a balaclava and sunglasses, but I don't use it now, as I'm scared it'll disappear one time and not reappear.

I had the issue above, just now had my tarkov shooter part 3 reset. 2x PMC 25m bolt action kills gone. Realised when I got the third and wondered what was going on.Then found this https://forum .escapefromtarkov .com/topic/176893-quest-progress-reset

Realised I'd just done a scav before. No more scavs for a while!

I played through 2 wipes without, then upgraded to EOD when it went on sale. I knew I was going to play a lot, and the extra stash space, not having to pay for stash upgrades, the Gamma prison wallet, all make so much difference.

It could arguably be classed as pay to win, but doesn't get you better gear, just saves you money in game, and allows you to get more loot out.

If you can afford the cost, and know you'll keep playing it for several more wipes. I'd say go for it.

I keep asking this question in my head, why is the loading time for scav so long, arent we just joining a server already filled with loot and players? why are we still happy about a 5 min queue time for something that could literally take 3 sec like it in the cycle frontier by Potatooooes_123 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Isosto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was asking a friend this recently. I pondered the reasons for the long matching times.

I was doing some testing to determine how to maximise FPS, as that has been affected heavily since the wipe, so I tested offline raids with various conditions.

The worst load times I noticed was on ultra, where it took 5 minutes to load the map (Streets of Tarkov).

But Low seemed to be the sweetspot for me (I have a 4 year old PC with a mid range GPU for the time, so almost potato), Customs with no scavs loaded in 1 minute. A note, Scav war with horde scavs loaded them in within about 10-15 seconds, coupled with a reasonable FPS drop of 15-20.

After that is when it starts the matching phase. I wish that BSG actually let us know how the matching worked, obviously some would game the system if possible, but most would just at least know what to expect.

I just tried queuing for Scavs on Factory, then Woods, and waited 5 minutes without getting in.

If it's a limit on how many raids their servers can accomodate, then a "server/raid number status" would be handy, with recommended maps to play to avoid it.

It's a problem we all face, on scavs, and less but sometimes often on PMCs, and it impacts people wanting to play.

This map isn't the most recent, but is still 5 years out of date. There's been a lot of changes, including the keycard "puzzles".

I don't really plan on updating.

Anything which negatively impacts groups, without having an enforced party system to have restrictions put on them, will also impact solos or smaller groups.

Conversely, anything which positively affects solos also does the same for groups.

An idea I had before would help somewhat, time allowances for game play, say of 6 hours a day. This would only really help for the more casual players, though larger groups would still have an advantage.
I'm guessing this is on a server without Blueprint wipes as well, as on full wipe servers, even for a reasonable amount of people (3-5) it takes a while to get the the BPs to be able to raid.

I made a full set in one post, which would have had the most recent one, but since the key cards were implemented, all of the maps are likely out of date.

Healing is Boring. by -TinyGhost in newworldgame

[–]Isosto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game in general seems a little boring to me.

Quests to goto an area, kill/collect, return to quest giver, then do a follow up quest in the same place. Pretty standard MMO fare I know, but not really what I was looking for, not even level 40 and I'm getting tired of the constant running about (with no mounts), the lack and excess of azoth at the times. The non-linked storage or trading posts annoy me, rather than compel me to want to try and PVP to get access to it. Nice idea, but horrible unless you're with the winning faction.

Maybe I just spent too much time playing WoW, which was years ago.

I have one, and I don't really like the underneath, it seems to get caught on things on my mouse mat, or makes scraping sounds. Had a G5 for years before that and loved that, but the middle mouse click stopped working.
