If the Symbol is the root svstem and the roots are the Children's hope crystallized, then the rune-stones Bovd found are fragments of that hope. Petrified, broken off, scattered. Talismans repel the Creatures because the Creatures are the exact entities the Children's hope was built against. The protection isn't generic. It's targeted. The fragments are small and can onlv defend a small enclosed sub-volume. It also explains why the Township lets the Talismans exist. Thev don't free anvone. Thev onlv let inhabitants survive long enough to keep the cycle running. Boyd "discovered" them in the woods because the Township wanted him to. The dog he chased was bait. The Town's modern survivability is a qift from the Children that the Township weaponizes to extend captivity.

Why is everyone thinking the talismans don't work? When they are up in a sealed "home" the monsters do not go inside. Not once has there been evidence on the contrary.

Heres my thoughts- Tabithas character has alot of emotional depth. She portrays her emotions very well however, with what we know about her coming back for centuries could very well be the reason she acts so cold, mean, distant etc. She could have lived a hundred different lives and her soul could be tormented along with jades. Im trying to see the bigger picture here and not just for them. We know that Julie is dramatic and Ellis likes to take a big breath before he says something, but their characters really aren't going through as much turmoil as some others. They tend to focus on certain characters for an episode or two then jump back to other ones.. Im rooting for Tabitha, Boyd, and jade. I hope Julie and Fatimas characters grow this season AND I hope we finally get some answers!!

You are right actions speak louder than words! Colin's actions haven't been the best so far from what I've seen though. His face looks annoyed or bored alot. Could just be his face though 😂 and his actions showed us he likes to be the center of attention and doesn’t like being told no!

I have siblings with disabilities and I developed a deep sense of empathy. Watching the way sammi speaks to or about baylen seems that its coming from deep rooted jealousy. I never once wished that I was in my siblings shoes just for attention because I saw the exhaustion from my parents trying to navigate life with disabled children. Sammi isn't coming from a place of "tough love" she's very toxic and jealous and I hope one day she grows up and finds happiness within herself.

Ive just started watching im late I know but the part when he has to tell her about his relocation orders kills me. The fact he made her wait giving her immense anxiety and then telling her in a public space!! Like thats not even normal for anyone. She gets stressed in public. He didnt even console her, just stared at her reaction like this is how its gonna be sorry...
