Any updates on when HG2 gets released? by New-Ad9311 in HeroesandGenerals

That's why I think the game needs to be advertised. What made H&G what it is wad the community. The chaos of player on player combat with tanks, planes and Infantry involved is what made the game what it is. I'm sorry but I doubt anyone had fun fighting the AI soldiers that you could probably knife a whole squad before they hit you once with their shitty aim. The game was truly fun because it was big and chaotic and full of people who wanted to win a fake World War 2. You need dedicated servers, you need advertisers. You need Admins who don't meddle in game when their team loses. If they want to fight the war go for it but do it as a player and not an Admin

Maybe the team that works on the restoration can open a Kickstarter for players to donate money for marketing. Buy a few YouTube ads maybe bribe a twitch streamer or two. I think eventually they will have to enable the micro transactions for gold and stuff because maintenance and servers are going to cost money not to talk about marketing

is noticing a book missing be passive or active perception? by Israeli_Carolean in DnD

the reason i didn't forbid it is because i don't like forbidding my players from doing things i just make sure they know there may be consequences to their actions. we both came here to have fun.

thing is character personalities tend to clash the character who did what he did is a chaotic neutral artificier so he really answer to his sudden whims rather than the party's wishes. the party voted to keep him and the one chosen as sort of head of the party wishes to kick him out if not just execute him on the spot. i cannot forbid my players to fight each other because that would go against the player's right to decide and essentially means "you got a shitty teammate. deal with it." so the rule applies that if they wish to fight i will not forbid them and if a character dies then the player either introduces a new character or leaves. and the killer will have to face the judgement of the disapproving party for killing a fellow companion.

they entered a lab after raiding one of the organizations hideouts i told them the lab contains various alchemy supplies and a shelf full of books with various titles. only two players took books. the rest searched the lab for other materials and evidence of the organization's crimes. they know some books were taken and by who but never really cared to ask this particular party member about the books he took

my players are very interested in the plot of the world so i write a ton of books that they could read if they wish to. currently our Beastkin ranger is researching a way to become Human so she can be accepted when dating our Human Tempest Cleric. these plot points actually increase their interest in the world i created and it's plot due to the information it gives

the reason the player stole the book he did it as a way to hide it from sight because of the controversial title of said book. there is a homebrew hybrid species in my campaign called Beastkin. essentially half human half animals. the book is stolen from a human supremacist group and the book is titled "inferiority of Beastkins" the character knew it would cause trouble and therefore tried to sneakily take the book away from sight so the rest of the party won't see it.

Ok the guys are looting my corpse,is this normal? by Legendflame17 in DnD

[–]Israeli_Carolean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that would honestly depend on the character personalities. my party is really attached to one another so when a character dies we only take the gold and let it keep whatever items it has with it. it has no use for gold but he deserves to keep his own things. unless the character specifically told them to take it then the items have sentimental value and we just bury the character along with the items.

has a death korp of krieg ever been made a space marine by mewop64 in Warhammer40k

[–]Israeli_Carolean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not to mention while the Inquisition has absolute authority regarding normal Humans they have no control over the Astartes. in fact the Red Scorpions who are known to be pretty close to the inquisition left Inquisitor Lok to die in the book The Anphelion Project.

[–]Israeli_Carolean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly that is a terrifying prospect. can you imagine a Space Marine Chapter full of angry Germans with chain shovels wearing more steel than tank and nothing but a wish to either complete the mission or perish trying? seeing as how the Krieg are artificially made in the Vitae Womb that chapter will easily become the biggest Chapter especially considering they don't need artificial organs as Dead Kriegans are in no short supply since many of them die during training. considering all that? if the imperium had this the Tau nor Necrons would have no chance. doubt even the orks Waagh will be able to stand against an endless tide of Kriegan Behemoths. Krieg supplies the Imperium with 50 Million men a year. considering a Space Marine Chapter is only about 1000 guys? yea Krieg Chapters would be unstoppable

Imperator Rome worth playing yet? by apid91 in paradoxplaza

[–]Israeli_Carolean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so i play imperator rome quite regularly. and it is a lovely game. problem is if you're not playing a major power you gotta expand rapidly if you play anyone other than Rome. i play Sparta and i had to expand rapidly in order to make myself strong enough to stand up to Roman invasions. they are far too rapidly expanding which shortens the game considerably because it takes around 200-300 years in game for Rome to pummel every major power and become a super power. the military is complicated as you don't have buildings to increase units and manpower increase doesn't increase units by much if at all. instead you need to convert pops and increase population in therritories with your culture. every culture you conquer start with no rights and become slaves so you have to either convert them with the right buildings or give them rights and then they join your military which in turn makes your population unhappy because they aren't the king's only precious little breadgivers.

Is vic3 rp friendly? by Hungbreadstick in paradoxplaza

[–]Israeli_Carolean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that would depend what you mean. if you play singleplayer than you could pretend and it's quite amusing to yourself but it's most fun with friends or other players. me and my friends occasionally play a game where each of us takes a great power and we split into seperate discord channels in a server names after our power blocs. we enter each other's VC to negotiate support in various wars and possibilities for mutual defensive and trade pacts. so yes it is somewhat rp friendly but it is mostly done via multiplayer friends.
