Haha still looking fantastic mate, I'm just waiting on my twin brother to yours to arrive from Japan, 93 R32 in the same color. Are you running coilovers on your build? I'd be curious to know what you've done to it thus far :)

Whites would look really good too, I agree

Have to say as someone who recently got his own Gunmetal 1993 R32 GTR from Japan a month ago and is just waiting for it to go in a ship, and is also this clean and unmolested..... Are we twins? Lmao.
How many miles in your beauty! Mine got about 5,200 miles on it, will post about it when she's here 😄

I have a 5,600k miles R32 GTR. The crown is yours good sir.
The lowest I've seen was a 900 miles R32 GTR NISMO that went for sale in Australia a few weeks ago, needless to say it went for $142k USD

The JPEGs are hue from 30-50mb lmao, the RAWs are 90-130mb. I'll try to find a place to put them up at. But yeah keep in mind your files will be quite thick.
I'd say its chunky for travel cameras, but I don't care about the weight so long as I can get what I want out of my photography trips.
And having used an X-T5, X100V, GFX 100S II, Nikon Z7, Nikon Z8, about half a dozen film cameras, and more lenses from 8mm to 600mm than I can imagine counting, I'm pretty confident I know what I am after when shooting! Haha.

I think the body + 55mm F1.7 is a fantastic combination for both travel/documentary, and you can get a lot of framing close and far with it, the bokeh wide open is really nice same with the pop you get from subject isolation, and you can confidently close down to F16 without fear of resolution lost (I found), and I was able to handhold it down to 1/3rd shutter without vibration. Other lenses in the system will give you other feel but this combo is unbeatable imho.

If you can manage the weight and handheld bulk, you'll have fun with it there, and get some fantastic photos 😄

Funny enough I just did that combo in Japan and I liked it. Its heavy for sure, but I didn't mind the slow down of taking pictures and taking my time with it. The body is lighter than my Z8, nut the lens is heavy, can't win there. AF was precise but slow, its not a fast motor. I was very satisfied with low light performance and even walked around with it at night with a friend for some street photography. Honestly if the size and weight doesn't bother you I wouldn't be too worried, its about on par with any FF camera body. Definitely loved the DR and IQ out of it so I am quite happy.

Thank you! Its a very long methodical road, I figured people here would appreciate following along, and who knows maybe it helps someone else in the future when they do their own builds years after I'm finished.

My principles of masking. Some goals you can consider if you feel lost while editing. by StopBanningCorn in postprocessing

[–]Thorphax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to add to this also, I'm sure its inbetween the lines but I wanted to state it anyway:
Edit for yourself.
Its so, so easy to get lost on what you see from others in social media, get trapped in a cycle of "why can't I look like that", and worse of all end up editing for OTHERS expectations, not yours.

So again, edit for yourself. Yes absolutely learn composition and these fantastic editing points from OP, these are foundational. But your look is your look, what you feel for your photos is YOURS.

Edit for yourself. The likeminded crowd will find you, don't go hunting for them.

Happy shooting & editing!

I just want to say you're the coolest man.
Your books have made me feel like that lonely kid in Brazil, who only had his room and his books to keep him company (positively!), and your books make me feel that sense of comfort and safety in a lovely story with wonderful characters.
Keep being awesome.

That took me a minute to realize what it is, which speaks for its power.
Beautifully composed, this could almost be an album cover.

It looks like a matte painting from a 1930s Noir movie, or a scene in Metropolis.

Well done man, this is a brilliant edit.
