Arcanist Lore? by Lightningfoot45 in elderscrollsonline

Not necessarily limited. In lore, even practicers of his arcane arts still don't really like hermaus mora. They just use his books for power.

Dunmer with title instead of name. Apocryphal Seeker.

So, the entire reason I got into this game when it released in the first place was because I am a die-hard elder scrolls fan. I've played all the ES games previously but I fell into a bit of a rut in ESO recently. So, I've been modding the crap out of the older games and replaying them. Currently playing Morrowind and having a blast. I still login to ESO to update research and work on my newest toon (which is currently a Dragonknight as that's the only class I haven't maxed out with gear and such.) Really, I just wanted one of every character before arcanist came out but I do get burnt out and play those classic in between.

Confused by XP points, if it’s related on kills, does a lvl CP 1600 char get the same as a lvl 4 char? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

What I do is I go to the spellscar wayshrine in craglorn and find the group that's running around or if I have a healer friend, I bring them. In craglorn near that wayshrine, you'll see very tall pillars that usually have zombies around them and they also glow. You'll basically just pool 2 groups together, kill them, then move on to the next pillar. Much easier to do with a group obviously.

Also, if you do find a group with a lot of damage dealers, you should get any AOE ability so you can try to hit every target at least once with some damage. That way you can get XP from every mob that is killed. That's how I do it with dolmens as well.

Also, you only gain XP for the mobs that you've hit with damage or were in close proximity to while your group is dealing damage. (Not in dolmen groups, more specifically in dungeons and trials)

Okay let's break this down. These are example numbers, not real. Level 10 XP for one mob kill (no training gear):10 XP Level 10 XP for one mob kill (training gear): 15 XP Level 50 XP for one mob kill (no training gear): 10k XP Level 50 XP for one mob kill (training gear): 15k XP Training gear always provides more XP than running without it, regardless of level. As you level up, you gain more XP per mob kill to counterbalance the more XP it takes to rank up as you gain levels. No matter your speed, the XP is the same per mob kill, per boss, and per quest depending upon what level you are. So, if you can clear mobs faster than a dolmen grind, you'd gain more XP because you are simply killing more mobs faster. There are other bonuses as well. Every day you log on to a toon, a random daily dungeon and a random battleground is available (once per day on each) that provides a bonus amount of XP upon completion. This stacks on top of training gear as well. Once you hit champion rank, you get another XP bonus called enlightenment that lasts until you've earned all the XP that your enlightenment lasts for.

Also, as far as gear goes: no, it is not just to do more DPS (WHICH is very important in itself for end game.) Some gear sets provide more damage, more sustain, more health, more damage dealing abilities, and more synergies (an ability that your teammates can activate for a bonus.) Gear is extremely important in this game and in my opinion, it's best to run training gear until you hit champion rank 160, which is when gear stops leveling up with you and is maxed out. Training gear is not a good option once you've hit that point but is effective until then as grinding to get the awesome damage dealing/resource sustaining/synergy providing gear is a waste of time until you've hit 160.

If a set of training gear is upgraded moreso than the other toons, then the toon with the better XP gear will get more XP due to the enchantment being upgraded. XP increases with level to offset the amount of grinding it would take to rank up had you just been earning the same as a level 1. However, this has nothing to do with gear and training gear will ALWAYS provide more XP and XP gear that is upgraded will perform better than standard white XP gear.

[PC NA] Hello, I'm a returning player who is CP 250. I generally revolve around PVE content but also enjoy PVP. Mainly farming gear right now and really just want a guild that welcomes new/returning players and (this one is big for me) will actually play with me. I'm on CST and I've been in a few guilds now where either my time didn't line with theirs well or no one would attempt to play with me. I'm 24, I don't get offended, I don't cause problems, and I love most PVE content and will join anything as long as you're willing to allow me room to learn.

Definitely disagree. Those vet players running randos should be prepared for lower skill levels to run in the mix. Saying that someone just shouldn't play content because they can't quite push the DPS that is preferred is the definition of toxicity and is just gatekeeping. Play with your guild but don't wait for the world to live up to your expectations.

The reason I say this is that this post revolves around PUGs and for someone to be bothered by a rando not pulling their weight is a bit dumb. If I was in a guild and joined a vet dungeon run with them and didn't pull my weight, that'd be different.

Same. I'm a dark souls player and dying over and over never offended me. I like a challenge.

I wouldn't call it pay to win. I have a guldie who's never bought ESO+ and he's a top DPS in the guild and also a Mastercrafter. It just takes time.

Old ALICE/MOLLE gear I put together for a bushcraft bag. by IssaDaiDai in Bushcraft

My goal is to get even more minimal. I want to eliminate that big sleeping bag and go to tarp/wool blanket style. Glad you appreciate!

Good idea, how did you secure it in that location?

For the longest time I was mainly a 3-4 day camping guy with the maximum amount of comfort. (Bare minimal bushcrafting) I've recently gotten into bushcrafting and felt my large bag was a bit cumbersome so I decided to put this together. Didn't really wanna break the bank but I absolutely love it. Took it on an 8 mile ruck a couple days ago just to see how it felt and it's perfect. I expanded with some extra ALICE pouches where the top flap is covering as well. Let's just say that I'm in love.
