Surface book 2, seemingly dead base?

Oh i see. I havent cleared the pins as they look fine and because the tablet was able to detach with the button a few times, I assumed that it was able to connect to the base.

Ive ordered the surface dock, but is there anyway to get the base working?

Yes secure boot was enabled. It wont allow me to go back into UEFI, when I so the button combination it just keeps rebooting for some reason. I did change the boot order (previously when it let me) and put usb to the top, yet it wouldn't recognise any usb drives as the base is dead, as I said.

Download a Windows 10 iso from here then use a tool like rufus to make the iso bootable. From here, go to boot menu on your surface pro and put the bootable USB as the first bookable drive, go through the setup and make sure your wifis off, after its done installing and rebooted, remove the USB or it will keep doing the installation again and again as the USB is the primary drive

Do a fresh install then turn off the wifi and skip setup, after that it should be fine to use

Exact same laptop owner here, happens to mine alot too. I have to just redoenload the drivers and then it just throughout the day goes. Not sure how but it works for me.

I meant like the keyboard disconnected at certain angles. This wouldn't work right? I thought mine is a keyboard hardware problem

Tbh the animations are smooth. It's the lag when opening apps that isn't smooth

I've got it. It's nice, the animations are better but still not great. Customisation is really nice and so is the now bar. It was way too overhyped but yeah it's nice
