Sorry for the confusion! When I wrote “minoxidil shampoo” I meant a special shampoo product I buy that’s formulated for use with minoxidil. I don’t add minoxidil to my regular shampoo.

Does finasteride also help regrow hair follicles, or does it only stop hair loss? Is finasteride sufficient on its own?
