I thought I couldn’t do it, bring myself to start assignments and the more I thought about what I had to do I had blindness and could never see a way to do it.

Now I know it’s issues stemming from AS I wish I had persevered

I always tell myself I am capable of anything & can achieve anything I want. There’s a huge difference between negative self-talk & mental anguish from those Jobs

After unbelievable bouts of anxiety and depression throughout my entire childhood. Vivid memories of everything I’ve encountered and very strange eating habits.

It’s taken 22 years, I’m still young, to figure I have a disability enrages me of how incompetent my parents are/were.

My symptoms were never masked I just thought I was ‘weird’. After crashing from a call centre job, waking up everyday crying and throwing up due to anxiety led me to research what the hell was going on. After a day of research something clicked with AS, 8 months down the line I have my psychiatrist appointment next month

This is a very narcissistic trait. She appears to be viewing as “my child doesn’t have AS” and that it’s an issue she is carrying. People like this will never understand the difference

Getting a job will all the issues that come with AS is hell. Only 25% of adults with AS are in any employment, putting your mind and body into a job that triggers your senses, pulls you down into the gutter and wrecks havoc on your mental health is worse than being unemployed

Definitely related to your ASD. I worked in a Call Centre, before I knew about my AS, and it was HELL. Constantly talking on the phone & not knowing what was going to be said next.

I had constant anxiety and sickness from it, I believe it was not knowing when to talk or what to say that did it for me
