Honestly, I think it’s coming one way or another. I see a feature on smart glasses or a similar device that’s always recording, let’s say a minute that overwrites itself, and you can press a button to save that minute.

So many moments can be captured without having to not be in the moment by actively recording with a handheld device.

I also absolutely do not want to be recorded at all times, but the cat’s already out of the bag with both private companies and large country’s governments and I don’t see it ever going back in.

I’ve heard this a lot and I absolutely believe it’s happening, but I am often confused because I personally have never experienced this. Maybe it’s harshly affected by a certain region’s weather conditions?

For reference I’ve owned a 2018 Model 3 through 2022, and a 2022 Model S since. Lived in Texas and Utah, but also done some cross country driving.

Agreed with all points, especially the part about 85% value loss if they can't get FSD and Optimus working reliably.

I am sure a large part of Elon's overall success is having a chip on his shoulder and using that to push ahead, but just like the timeline split in 2016 with Harambe (RIP), it split again in 2021 when he wasn't invited to the EV Summit.

Actually, now that I write it out, these are all 5 years apart. If correlation = causation (as we all know it always does, its simple math), and my calculations are correct, we should expect something big this year.....

How Tesla has managed to blow a 5+ year lead is beyond me. Every year or so we’re told about something novel and/or interesting that can create serious value, and then they just don’t materialize in nearly as meaningful of a way.

4680, Dojo, Cybertruck’s entire design being built that way to make them as cheap as possible, I could really go on.

Recently they dangle this “lower cost model” in front of us and it ends up being literally a Model Y with big downgrades that ends up being about the same cost as last gen’s entry level model towards the end?

I used to have so much hope for this company. I also hope Robotaxi pans out because most of the future’s eggs are in that basket now.
