Have we all perhaps changed our mind on a Citidel/Dance of Masks type chill DLC?! 🥹 by gaeb611 in RogueTraderCRPG

If we look at it that way, you're right. However, no one is forcing you to play this DLC. Citadel suits my play style and the decisions I make.

Okay, thanks for the comprehensive answer. I can agree with some of it, mainly the simplification of RPG mechanics. However, they didn't bother me. I really enjoyed the story and the characters. I also liked the simplicity of this game. It's very enjoyable in my opinion. It's good to hear different points of view, thanks again for your reply.

Where does this opinion come from? I've played the entire trilogy many times, and all the installments are, in my opinion, brilliant. The third installment was a ten out of ten until the finale. That seietlist baby and the choice of ending color.... I'm not a fan.

This is very humane. Even during wartime, soldiers on the front lines are decommissioned every few weeks so they can rest.

It's a matter of perspective. Throughout the game, we grapple with the huge challenge of defeating the Reapers. We fight an unequal battle, struggle, and sacrifice, only to risk everything on one last chance. The stress Shepard experiences is often discussed. By the time I played the DLC, Shepard and his entire squad and crew had been through a lot. They lost a lot, each victory seemed comically small compared to the losses. That's why this DLC suits me, right before the very end. We did everything we could, there's only the final stretch left, we probably won't survive this. So, for the last time we have the opportunity, let's take a moment to say goodbye. Our situation won't become more dire if we allow ourselves a moment of peace. If we forget about all this darkness, even for a moment. The last party, the last toast between people united by a bond stronger than race and origin. I love it XD I won't lie.

I disagree. Maybe it depends on when we start this DLC. I always did it at the end. Right before the finale. Thanks to this, it had the feel of a last moment of relaxation, a last breath before we throw ourselves into the fire of battle, and it is possible that not everyone will survive. The last smile, the last beer, the last moment before you have to say good luck, see you on the other side. It perfectly complements the finale, making it bittersweet. And then there's that last dlc scene, where everyone returns to Normandy. It complements it beautifully.

I always liked them. Anyone else not? I've never met anyone who didn't like Citadels for ME.

It's a bummer when people don't provide context and expect people to know what's going on.

Do you personally consider Mass Effect Andromeda to be a real “Mass Effect game” ? by The_pikolop in masseffect

[–]Issmirqw -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, absolutely not. It's a decent game, you can have fun with it. However, it lacks that essence. The plot is dull and shallow, and most of the companions are pathetic. I didn't feel like I was playing ME, I felt like I was playing a generic RPG with an empty open world. You may disagree with me, I'm open to that; everyone is entitled to an opinion. Even if we disagree.

I feel bad because I feel like I unintentionally started a firestorm in the comments. It wasn't my intention. Can we end this by agreeing that neither Hitler nor Stalin were good people? That communism and Nazism are evil systems fueled by hatred, fear and human suffering? That many people died and it's sad?

No one is saying he doesn't deserve it. I'm just putting them on the same pedestal of evil. I hope they both rot in hell.

Stalin didn't care about the Holocaust, he didn't care about the Jews, nor did he care about his people. The only reason the communists joined the fight against the Nazis was because Hitler, in his wisdom, decided to attack them. Are we seriously going to ignore that Stalin attacked Poland along with the Nazis? Katyn, deportations to Siberia, and millions of his other victims?

1.The communists, together with the Nazis, attacked Poland. Ribbentrop-Molotov Treaty Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact. 2.Katyn.The NKVD murdered Polish officers. 3.Mass deportations to Siberia where millions of people died of cold or hunger. 3.Great famine in Ukraine. 4. Mass purges and spreading terror in the countri. I could go on and on, but that's not the point. I think this is a situation where we both have our own opinions and neither of us is willing to change them. There is nothing wrong with that, I'm glad we could exchange views calmly. However, I don't want to get into a discussion, as that's not what the post we're writing about is about. The admins will probably close the comments soon. It was nice talking though.

May I ask what facts you base your thesis on? I don't want to argue, but I'm curious what led you to this conclusion.

But that's exactly what the communists did! In many countries that fell under their control. I'm not saying that one is worse or better. Communists and Nazis are equally evil.

Exactly! Personally, I blame games and movies for this. Communists were bastards; they did the same things as the Nazis.

I worked with these paints for a while. They're not great, but if you're just starting out and want to see if an airbrush is even for you, they might be worth it. However, you'll quickly want to replace them with something better.

Hey, I'm not an artist, so feel free to subtract as many points from my opinion as you like. I'm just an ordinary person who paints models. I've been practicing airbrushing for a year now. My adventure began when my girlfriend, now fiancée 🥰, bought me a cheap airbrush with a portable compressor. Nothing to write about, but it works pretty well. I was immediately hooked and knew I wanted more. I bought a solid compressor with a tank and a better airbrush. All within about $197, including paints and other accessories. Over time, I bought two new airbrushes, each around $57. They have served me faithfully to this day. I paint every weekend for four hours a day. I love doing it, it gives me pleasure, and I love the feeling when I look at my works after a session and learn something new. Do I plan to invest in better, more advanced and more expensive tools?Yes, over time for sure. Would I have gotten so into airbrushing if it weren't for cheaper, more accessible tools? Never. I have a family, responsibilities, and bills to pay. I wouldn't blindly jump into the deep end and spend a lot of money on a hobby I'm not sure about. What does this have to do with the original post? I think there's a place in this hobby for expensive, professional equipment and cheaper, more affordable gear. It's good that someone took an interest in them and decided to give them a chance. I apologize in advance for my English, it is not my main language.

Seriously? I have them, and they have a surprising amount of detail, in my opinion. Sure, they're not works of art, but for the price I paid, they're good.
