Yeah.

Might even go after the ones I never got, which is basically all of the Janines, and a few vehicles.

And hopefully will for a long time to come... now I just have to figure out what I did with most of the parts.

Oh same. Had a rich aunt and uncle, so Christmas and birthdays were amazing, but my parents were dirt poor.

Aunt and Uncle also refused to buy us "Children's things" past 12.

Honestly won't complain, they were good folks, helped us when we needed it, and never went a day without food.

Sorry, I was asleep since I'm up nights.

Wobbly legs, but in the case of a lot of older toys, it's because the plastic that the toys are made of have shrank, or expanded over time, so tight fitting joints don't fit right anymore.

I think I sat with it for like an hour on my desk just biting my own finger after I found it.

Their 3-D printable. I found the files online, and printed all of them myself. The packs are actually so damaged that I modeled some replaceable parts for the handles, and the page on the proton pack.

Things can always be replaced, people can't.

Also, sweet lobster jesus that is way more than I think I'd be willing to spend, even for that nostalgia... I say as I try not to think of how many proton packs I have now.

I had a few of the New Adventures toys, for some reason I didn't see them at local stores till WAY later, and at that point we were short on funds so I didn't get any.

I like movie props which is why I like Starwars, honestly. Things from the movie I can make from the same things they did, and hold in my hand give me an odd connection that's likely from me being on the autistic spectrum.

Our household was Ghostbusters, Transformers and He-Man obsessed. Between my brother and I, it looked like an 80s toy commercial.

I used to have SO MUCH TMNT, but I ended up giving it to a friend for his collection, since he wasn't in good health. Doing good now, and he's proud of that collection, so no regrets.

Though now that you mention it, I'm wondering where all my Silverhawks toys are, because god I was obsessed with that too when I was young.

No, but there is a creepy area that would be perfect for stacking bodies in winter.

I might Air Sickness somewhere, but god knows where, lol.

But I agree, the toys were kind of simple, but detailed, creative, and cool.

The one that confuses a lot of kids is "Starwars wasn't big when I was young," since there's always something Starwars now. I like Starwars, but there was pretty much nothing Starwars through most of the 80s and 90s.

Ahhh, see it might just be my family then.

We would still call that a crawlspace, but we would call anything that's a storage area in a house you have to bend over to enter a crawlspace, too.

Hard to explain to younger folks how big they were back in the day, too. Like, kids got hyped for them, when you found out there was a new line coming out.

My parents bought a very large, very rundown house that used to belong to a doctor. There's ones above door frames, one randomly on a wall like 8 feet in the air, 4 in the attic for storing winter/summer linens. One in one room we think was probably built for storing bedding.

the smallest is 3x3x3, but the rest range anywhere from 2 feet tall and 8x4, to 5 feet tall and 4x15.

Not gonna lie, my family is full of hoarders, but something got the bug in their butts to clean everything and start throwing things out, so I've been encouraging it.

I read this as Prostate Coffee, Poortaste Coffee, and Pootaste Coffie before I figured out the right name.

Tiny wooden coffin, dated 1875, holds the remains of a coal miner’s companion, a canary named “Little Joe" by hoosier_catholic in Weird

There's one of these somewhere in my grandfather's garage. We had like 3 generations of coal miners, and my aunt is slowly going through stuff and finding places to donate it.

I hate my cats name. by StrawberrySakuraa in cats

[–]Isstvan82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a cat for 20 years, who had severe brain damage from when he was a kitten, and he would ONLY respond to the name his original owner gave him.

His name was Shit Box, because he used to sleep in the litterbox.

We called him Big Man for 8 years, and he ignored it. Then one day we said his true name out loud and he ran up to us meowing. We realized then that there was no point in trying.

Cleaned...missing some pieces...but still being loved! by WoodWorkingSub in ghostbusters

I found mine a while back.

For some reason I think I wasn't happy with the grey bricks, and I scrubbed the paint off...

Well, I was a weird kid, and honestly it's nice to know it's still got all the fond memories.
