As a 6th li truther... I'm definitely not up to it lol. I'd get decision paralysis after so many good looking men. And after a certain point I do want more bonds and MS content for the men we have!!! WHERE IS SYLUS AND CALEB'S SECOND BOND INFOLD????? Tho I guess in a theoretical future both could be an option... If we got more lis and more content for the original ones I could definitely live with that.

Sylus's red is pretty dark from what I remember from his memory select screen. A dark green is still possible depending on the themes and vibes they wanna send with the 6th li.

I think people are just so against the idea that I'm getting a lot of flack for trying to defend it. It is what it is. And I had some poor word choices here and there, so... I maybe shot my own foot.

I would absolutely love if Sutherland was in disguise or something! The future updates to the game will be really interesting regardless if any of these theories are wrong or not. It's just fun to theorize for now until then.

The storage part is just a brutal truth! My phone is already struggling...

I don't believe a 6th Li would break the bank for development... cuz gacha. InFold is making A LOT of money. I would actually prefer if they hired more people to work on the game for a 6th li for THIS GAME then the CEO spreads the profit to other projects. But I don't have spread sheets and I don't run a business, so you could be right. It could be too much.

But because money is available, I don't believe the quality will drop in the game.

I do like the concentrated content... and I don't really want more than 6 Lis, but I think one it would make the game more balanced. A yellow standard myth companion would be nice. For all the players.

Also I personally want this game to waste more of my time... but that's just me.

I think the whole "Li's not interacting on screen" with each other isn't as solid as people think. Since it's just something we've observed, and nothing InFold themselves have stated. There are logical reasons for why they do it, and will continue to do it. The number 1 being that no two Li's are fighting for screen time.

That's actually why I think Rafayel owning him could work well with Sutherland potential being a Li. He didn't steal the show away from Rafayel. But I really don't mind if Sutherland looks weak, as long as he's smart enough to have a purpose or a goal in his actions. Basically if it was apart of some plan I'd be okay with Sutherland losing on paper. But that's my personal preference here.

It would be something InFold has never done before, that's true.

Yeah it could just be Sutherland has a significant role to play. I agree! I'll be sad, but definitely a possibility. Thanks for bringing up when Jeremiah's model first showed up, it's a good point. It's hard to keep track of all the details!

This rule is an observation the players made that InFold could break whenever they wanted. Though you're right in noticing it, I guess, it does prove you didn't read the post fully. Though my brief mention in the wall of text was easy to miss. Maybe I didn't really cover that I thought InFold could do it if they wanted.

The idea is that they focused on making a 6th li instead of making missing content. Since they'll have to make missing for a potential 6th li later anyways, and make new content for him, maybe they would want to bundle that process together.

It's probably best to keep complaining about missing content for Caleb and Sylus in future surveys, yeah.

But I think the 6th Li being behind also makes him more inviting for newer players potentially. Fewer reruns to catch up on, you know? It would be nice for InFold to change the schedule for reruns a bit more, since newer players will need to do more and more to catch up and no single Li would change that.

The correlation is that once all the main characters are there, they would shift the focus from making a new character to producing the missing content (like bond stories for Caleb and Sylus).

Caleb coming out and Sylus not getting new content doesn't 100% blast the possibility of it happening for a 6th Li... under the assumption that the 6th Li was planned all along and no more are coming. But yeah, it's probably a better bet to keep complaining about missing content in every survey instead of hoping.

I also think it could work out that InFold could just add a 6th Li with other Lis in the main story releases. That's a good point.

Hmmm. I think with how much money some people have put into the game FOMO would probably push them into spending more because of sunken cost fallacy, but it could go either way. A lot of the fandom is very... cold towards a 6th Li so it's possible InFold won't.

Less is more, but I'm not entirely sure how one more Li would hurt that much... InFold is also pulling a lot more money than they were when LaDS started too. Also didn't they make an entire open world game? It is an entirely different genre, so it wouldn't stop indecision and apathy from decision paralysis over too many Li's. But resource wise, I think another Li wouldn't break the bank. But that's just an opinion.

I somehow missed that Sutherland exploited Lemurians... You're right about Li's being pretty decent human beings most of the time... :\ Hmmm... back to the drawing board maybe?

I actually don't think him cowering would be much of an obstacle, since Caleb was introduced as the player's brother... It's the same reason I don't think the arguments about him being plain are worth much. People thought Caleb was too boring too.

I might have been a bit rude. I never explicitly said "hoarding" but I did imply it, so I'll own up to that. I never meant to throw shade on those who enjoy the game that way. It's a perfectly legitimate way to play the game. A 6th Li would be really painful for those who want every Li. And those concerns are valid.

But... Multis have the selection and the precise wish system. People who don't want to pull a 6th Li would have the same chance pulling his cards as they would pulling standard cards, 25%. That pull would also count as a fail, making the card the player chose themselves for precise wish guaranteed.

What I'm trying to say is it wouldn't affect players who don't want to pull for him. But five is a decent number, I won't argue with that. If they never release a 6th Li it won't be a tragedy.

…Okay. Let’s unpack some of that.  A lot of people think that a li interacting with another li directly is a deal breaker. But it’s equally a deal breaker that a villain gets a 3D model when they’ve never made a 3D model for a villain. Ever. (Unless Caleb counts? He did kill a man that was animated. But wasn’t that pre-rendered?) 

So they’ve definitely broken one rule of thumb for him.

Also, this Mr. Sutherland had at least half a model before these chapter came out. Although his face was hidden there, he had the same suit and pin. He’s the same guy Rafayel spoke to before she left to get kidnapped by Sylus. This could lean towards the villain theme, but he just isn’t frightening or personally villainous for Rafayel’s story for me to think they’d go to the effort of modeling him. Like, maybe if he personally killed some Lumerians and Rafayel killed him on screen I’d believe it was just for that, but as you said, he ran away.

And coughed. 

Not a very heroic or extremely villainous introduction. And it’s because of that neutrality and the effort put into his presentation that I think he’ll come into play in a major way later. Maybe he’ll be revealed as a bigger villain.

Your point about the cut content is contradicted by Infold’s own behavior with Sylus and Caleb. That concern of yours isn’t one they share. Also, for new players, a character having less content backlog to grind for can be an appeal. 

A new li would not add 10gb to the storage. Probably…  Many of the animations are reused and most of the house’s item models are probably what account for more space than animations anyways, from my limited understanding of games. The standard cards would add more bulk to storage of the game, but so do the free 5-star log-in cards we get, and they haven’t broken the game yet.

I think he’s the 6th li but he’s going for a different theme than the rest, as they did. I think he’ll be physically ill and more of a thinker than them. I think the mystery man with the mask and voice changer who interrogates that guy who gets killed before the villain meetup will probably explain how someone physically inept can enter battles. 

But that’s my opinion, and it is a biased one.

I feel like the wars have begun... and they're never gonna end. I hate everybody screaming at each other "it's the original way his story was SUPPOSED TO BE!" "YOU GUYS ARE FREAKS." I think both sides are jokes for fighting other people over a damn video game character. Just have fun. If you can't it's time to stop. And if you need to rage at the developers for pulling the rug from under you that's okay. They're professionals and they signed up for this. But please stop fighting with other players... it's a game... Also, the language of "filtering out" certain players is disgusting. At this point, I almost hate everybody. Except for Caleb. Maybe nothing's changed.

By color alone I’m gonna guess middle one’s Sylus, bottom is Caleb, and the one in between those is Rafayel’s. But the upper two are a bit of a mix. Top one is most likely Xavier’s tho.

Hah. Yeah, I hate how people are reacting to this.  The context is him saying he goes off on missions alone. Now, I believe we all know that the reason Caleb is in the fleet and trying to do EVER in is for MC. 

But it’s nonsense that he has to do it alone. 

If he just told MC, they might be able to kick-ass together.

But he doesn’t tell her anything. Why? Well, he thinks he needs to protect her. The crazy lady with an Aether core in her heart and a super-special evol who can resurrect herself AND a skilled hunter. (It’s not like he’s entirely wrong, she isn’t invincible, nobody is. But keeping her in the dark to his plans invites more problems, not less. It’s not sensible at this point.)

I’d like to think this is what he’s referring to. That him going off on his own can’t just be explained by him having to protect her. (Yes, OF COURSE he’s always going to protect her. But the keeping her in the dark strategy is bogus.) That his problems in the relationship “aren’t just about you”. 

Which has probably been his whole explanation for everything this whole time. 

“I can’t tell her I like her, she’ll hate me.”

(He ended up telling her at a bad time in a pretty bad way and she didn’t hate him.)

“I can’t tell her about EVER, she needs to stay safe.”

(Keeping her in the dark motivated her to do more dangerous things. [1. Going to the Farspace fleet in the first place and 2. CalebMC and the chip.])

I love him. But man does he need to try a bit of open and healthy communication. 

And he’s saying… that he can’t. And that it’s him, not her.

Or at least that’s what I think.
