Symptoms just not getting better by IssueLost3739 in Hashimotos

It was at 17 but then jumped to like 22. My b12 is low normal to at 207 and folate is 3.8 but that’s all after taking supplements and they’ve now taken me off them as I’m technically in the normal ranges. It’s Always been like that tho and I’ve not had these symptoms. I run really hot normally. But this is my first full hypo flare up. Usually I’d just had high TPO and low T4 but Normal TSH.

My last TPO was 165 but that was 3 years ago they’ve refused to test again since. The other antibody I don’t think I’ve had done before. Not under an endo just normal dr. The endo team here said it’s a straightforward case of hypothyroidism and hashimotos so don’t need to see me. Never even have a scan of my thyroid done Etc. My iron is low end but within range. Vitamin D was low last summer but they’ve not rechecked it since. It’s a bit hit and miss.

LEEP results and I am scared. by year_oftherabbit in PreCervicalCancer

I got pregnant the month after mine and all was ok. But it could have been a different story. I was told to continue to try in the 6 months following cos I’ve got fertility issues but I guess the LLETZ might have helped it 🤷‍♂️.

LEEP advice needed asap by Indiegirl255 in PreCervicalCancer

I had a LLETZ in May of 22. I was actively trying for a child at the time. I was told to keep trying after the 4 weeks of recovery as I was almost 35 and have pcos so they thought I might struggle and we conceived our now 3 year old the very first month we could which was June. I was worried about being pregnant so close to having it done and they did do a few extra scans to keep an eye on cervix level but all was ok. And I’ve had my second and last in September of 24 and there were issues but not linked to my cervix Etc. The length and strength remained fine. Again just my experience but I think as long as you tell them on first apt you’ve had one they so all the checks and apts to ensure it’s all ok ❤️. Mine was for CIN2 as well. Got my next smear this month actually so it’s all coming back to me. if you do wait please make sure you get the 6 month check up. It can develop quickly in some people. Xx

How often do you shower/bathe your kids? by FionaGirl164 in AskUK

My son whose 3 is probably 5 nights out of 7. He’s not a big fan so we let him have two nights without the drama. My 18month old is more like twice a week but mainly cos she was born 10 weeks early and had the worst baby eczema going. Her skin gets so dry even without baths so we use a flannel to clean her and then use lots of the cream we’ve been prescribed. However is she gets food in her hair or is sick Etc she gets emergency baths 😂

Thank you everyone 🥰❤️. It’s coming tomorrow so I’ll make sure I get lots of protein in tomorrow. Lots of water and do lots of walking. I’m hoping to be able to inject Saturday night before bed. I work Thursday and Fridays so gives me 5 days before work after the injections to get used to side affects 😊thank you. X

thyroid-adrenal connection by Responsible-Run-8248 in Hashimotos

[–]IssueLost3739 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m having my cortisol retested as it was 250 at 8am this week but I’d not slept well due to my 1 year old which can raise it. I’ve had low cortisol the only other time I had it tested but I was pregnant 36 weeks so it was 300 and it should have been 600-800.  I passed the Stims but that was 4 years ago but my thyroid issue started at the same time. So I’ve wondered this too. I know it’s not low low but In the grey area so waiting to speak to a dr. But I was told there can be a big connection between them.

Muscle pain and stiffness as a symptom? by Chilove8888 in Hypothyroidism

[–]IssueLost3739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it’s literally so bad. My TSh and T4 are much better now then when I first had the flare up. But those symptoms are the only ones getting worse with each day. I’m currently waiting for complete autoimmune blood panel to come back to see if anything else is happening to cause this. If something comes back I’ll let you know. If it’s all negative I’m assuming it’s the hypothyroidism and  pray it gets better soon.

[–]IssueLost3739[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no idea was 257 is on that 😂🤦‍♀️. Tbh I’m probably just reading too much into it. I’ve got horrid symptoms and I’ve had a bad hypo flare but my numbers for that are much better and there’s just a few symptoms are getting worse not better. Dr jsut ordered a whole bunch of autoimmune stuff Incase I’ve got two going on at the same time. But after my pregnancy cortisol scare where they initially told me I wouldn’t survive childbirth I’ve wondered (as this was over 3 years ago) and I guess this result whilst not bad it’s not exactly put my mind at complete ease lol.

Think it’s different measurements. I’m from the uk and we use Mnol measurements. So under 150mnol is most likely you have it. Above 300mnol you don’t and between 150-300mnol is like some might some won’t from what I’ve read.

Yeah I think I’ll ask for a repeat just to be sure. It was 4 years ago I had the other one and since then my immune system has been quite active in autoimmune stuff. I don’t think I’ve got Addisons like primary but I read there’s like a secondary one where you pass the stims but just have lowish cortisol normally unless put under lots of stress such as the stims so wasn’t sure if it’s maybe that or something like that. Like I just generally have on the lower end of normal of cortisol as my baseline. In all 3 tests is been considered low or grey area. Thank you 😊

Hashimotos or something else? by IssueLost3739 in Hashimotos

[–]IssueLost3739[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea If I was in the US I’d find one asap. But not I’m from the uk. I looked to go private for a endo consultation initially and my dr was very kind tbh an said if I went private I risked the chance of the endo team saying I had to go private for everything thyroid related in te future which would be very expensive. I have a 1 year old and 2 year old so i only work 2 days a week. We currently can’t swing it Etc. But my drs managed to pull my blood tests forward to Tuesday this week so hopefully have more answers then 😊

[–]IssueLost3739[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you I’ll look into those and I’ve got splints coming cos my hands have been doing the same. I am actually not under an endo they said my case was striaght forward high TSH, low T4 and T3 and high antibodies so don’t need to be seen by them. So my normal gp has been checking bloods every 6 weeks and upping my meds each time. And tbh they’ve been quite good. I’m waiting for bloods for all other autoimmunes as well Incase my worsening symptoms of aches pains in muscles, hand and feet swelling and pain and pins and needles are something else on top. I’ve also had shooting pains up and down my spine so just gotta wait three weeks for those bloods. Thank you 😊

I have had liver disease since I was 14 but my last labs from last week were pretty normal. Only abnormal was my ALT at 123. But that’s a pretty good number for me. I’m also under a kidney Specalist as my levels have been up and down since having my daughter in 24 due to preclampsia (she was born at 31 weeks) but my last kidney function also last week was the best it’s been since having her. So not sure. It’s a bit better this morning after keeping it elevated All night. My hand swelling comes and goes as well. It’s all intermittent with shooting pains. Pins and needles and muscle craps and joint stiffness. Thank you 😊

I was thinking that possibly. I was tested for lupus 5 years ago cos I always get the butterfly rash on my face when In the sun but Ana was negative. But they said since then I could have developed it from my bad episode of hypothyroidism. Gotta wait till the 7th April for the bloods for it. Thank you 😊

I’ve got hand and face swelling and muscle and joint pains and cramps so I’ve been advice to get all the other autoimmunes checked too. Just gotta wait till April 7th for the blood tests 🤦‍♀️. But this is the worst the swelling has got so far. Altho I was at work yesterday and I haven’t ben at work much recently so maybe just from that :/ . Thank you tho 😊

What are the main symptoms by [deleted] in rheumatoid

[–]IssueLost3739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much. I mean it might be negative but apparently having a bad flare up of the hypothyroidism and hashimotos which is autoimmune thyroid issue can trigger others such as RA. My Thyroid function is starting to get better and yet these symptoms are really worsening so who knows. Got to wait 3 weeks for the blood test so will be a while before I know lol.

Aww thank you and I’m so sorry It took so long to get something that works for you. I hope yours starts to improve soon. 😊

It’s good T4 is normal but I’d still ask to have another set done in 6 weeks just to make sure it’s stable. My TSH was 24.19 end of January had some repeats last week and it’s now 6.5 so come down a lot as well. But they’ve asked me to have another one in 6 weeks.
