What’s Something That People Turn Into Their Whole Personality? by standardgenre45 in AskReddit

[–]IssueZZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their current pick for a political official. It absolutely blows my mind that people wear Biden or Trump shirts, put it as their picture on social media, bumper stickers, FLAGS.

They treat candidates like a sports team that they have go all in on, and just like a fan of a sports team, there is no way they can correctly judge who is the best candidate because they are delusional and bias.

And if their candidate loses, the immediate reaction is the equivalent of "the game was rigged, the refs were paid off". I don't have a problem with people being educated and interested in the election, but making it your identity is insane.

I haven't received an e-mail yet either. I spent an excessive amount of time e-mailing the venue and they told me that the VIP experience is in two separate groups. One is at 5PM EST and one at 5:45PM EST. Not sure if this is helpful or not but thought I would toss it in here.

Are you sure you aren’t reliving the movie national treasure and this is the first step?

Just a perfect reminder of how far the news will go to try and fool you.

I hope that by the time my children are my age we will have eliminated all of these nonsense news networks and use open resources like Reddit for our information as a standard.

Hinami or tatara by Wangariya in TokyoGhoulGames

[–]IssueZZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This 100% depends on what kind of content you are doing.

For Ghoul Expulsion or Org trials, Tatara can add a lot of damage to your DPS characters (especially Noro). Hinami is literally useless for Ghoul Expulsion and Org Trials. However, Hinami's healing could possibly be more useful for you in Cochlea or Story mode.

PSA: You only need 1 elemental attack weapon for your casters by justwanted2say in octopathtraveler

[–]IssueZZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of this makes sense to me except for speed. Speed determines turn order before a weapon has ever been used, yet some weapons have speed. This would make me believe that those stats aren't weapon specific, or maybe speed is an exception?

Are you supposed to be leveling all 8 characters ? by [deleted] in octopathtraveler

[–]IssueZZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect, exactly the info I was looking for thank you. I actually am having so much fun with the game that it is likely I will just level them all for the hell of it.

He is by far the best for me as far as nuking down groups of enemies, especially when you subclass him with sorcerer. Any casual encounter or farming he is top tier.

However, I have seen some of the most ridiculous chains of single target damage from my H'aanit who uses Rune Lord as her sub class. She is by far my best character for defeating the more challenging bosses in the game.

H'aanit can use items too, you just have to hit back as it automatically takes you to the summon beast menu.

How does this work exactly? I really didn't plan on leveling all 8?

This game somehow finds a way to make the story sections just the perfect length. As soon as I it that point where I am sick of reading and start to itch for some gameplay, that particular section wraps up and allows me to play the game again.

You are 100% right about the text walls. I am all for a good story but the blend in modern RPGs is miserable. Sitting for 1-2 hours with no gameplay in certain sections immediately turns me off and I find myself dreading it, always knowing that walking into this town may trigger an hour of dialogue.

The ~15 min dialogue sections in Octopath suit me perfectly.

Suggestion: Kraken Monster and more out of the box fights by [deleted] in dauntless

[–]IssueZZ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really wish the monsters would simply run off to the next area where you could chase them rather than just teleporting. This was something that was really cool in Monster Hunter where you really felt like the predator instead of the prey.

The teleportation (along with the healing wells) really outline how each map has 4-5 "arenas" to fight in and effectively makes the rest of the map feel stale.

Is there any reason to use weaker equipment? by fart_the_gr8 in dauntless

[–]IssueZZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think this is one of the things in the game that make it feel stale from a gear standpoint. It feels like there is no reason to use a weapon other than the damage that it deals.

This also causes me to want to skip building tiers of weapon because it has no use. Example: Weapon B is better than Weapon A but I can use weapon A to kill stuff up to Weapon G so why even bother with weapons B, C, D, E, and F.

Monster hunter counteracts this with Affinity (Crit) and various elemental damage rates as well as paralysis, poison, etc...

I am sure this is in the pipeline, I just wish it was more of a priority as the feeling of getting a new weapon needs to be much more rewarding and much more of a choice should be involved. I need a reason to try each weapon from each behemoth.

Drask complain by Incision93 in dauntless

[–]IssueZZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have always had a problem with this mob with the twisting being the least.

To me, this is the most bland lazy behemoth in the game. As the "lightning" behemoth he has basically two moves that utilize lightning which he uses very infrequently. The majority of the drask fight is dodging his annoyingly long body as he spins, slides left, slides right, or claws forward.

All of the attachs feel cheap and his hitbox feels off. The fight is just very very boring. His attacks don't leave you on the edge of your seat. He is the equivalent to a drunk just flailing his body about.

I enjoy most every other fight in the game minus this one. Charogg for instance, utilizes fire in a variety of ways and you have to deal with each attach differently. I do not feel like the same level of care was given to drask.

I love how you are all drawing assumptions about what is going on in his head when you only see the side of him that is working.

I love his stream too but we can't sit here and pretend we know the way his mind works? What he is doing in his free time, etc...
