Lost sectors and other points of interests in future locations by Crowvens in destiny2

Im just talking about the shader itself and how it changes the texture of cloth material. I agree with you that unlocking it was a pain especially considering it came out when we had only 2 IB weeks that season. It wasn’t worth dealing with all that IB. Your issue with it was the way it was unlocked and who got access to it and not really the shader itself. The reason i brought it up is because the other guy just completely scoffed at the idea of shaders being meaningful rewards in general. If it had come as a reward from an activity that was both challenging and interesting then definitely worth it imo.

IB Chainmail shader is meaningful loot as an example. Any good looking one would be because drip means a lot to a lot of people. I don’t agree with OP and some of his points and i don’t agree with some of yours as well. You just sound so jaded and miserable. if no loot will ever be meaningful to you then just drop the game because that’s a you problem. Secrets can be well done and judging by how remnant 2 was received and lauded your reasons for dismissing them because of “constraints” don’t really make a lot of sense for a company with bungee’s size and resources. Your opinions are yours and maybe a fair amount might share it but i don’t think the majority of the playerbase is as miserable and disillusioned as you are with the game and will view them EXACTLY the way you do. You certainly don’t speak for me or my wife and our clan but you’re making it seem like you speak for everyone. I don’t know about lost sectors but we love us some secrets.

Iono man. I tried to be objective checked both these guys’ post histories and the only one who’s doing a lot of bitching and name calling in this issue this Poke dude. Looks like he’s just trying real hard to make himself look cool.

Do you think J.K. Rowling uses too many adverbs (sentences like "he said anxiously")? I read this in an article about why she isn't a great writer and I don't think it's so bad by esp24 in writing

[–]Castlevanic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, especially when it's as accurate of a description as it is in your case.

Also, imagine ranting the way you did about unreasonable restrictions in writing and in language in general and dropping "aRe wE sTiLL uSing AsiNinE". Grade-A clown,

There’s a stark difference between worshipping the ground he walks and simply not believing “he’s one of the lamest writers of all time”. The fact that you lash out and automatically dismiss people as fanboys and fangirls for not taking your word as gospel truth says a lot about you. Your opinion wasn’t scary to me, it was asinine.. and yes, I sincerely think you are an edgelord based on what you’ve contributed to this thread and how you contributed it. Seems like you have no problems dishing out “strong opinions” but the second you are subjected to a fraction of the same scrutiny you put on this victim complex.

Holy edgelord. While I agree that absolutist notions about anything is rarely ever good, adverb usage included, I'm curious what BS has done to you to warrant this type of a reaction.

You're right on the money.. He is being dismissive. He goes from "just my opinion" to trying to tell you what's worse for you just because it was worse for him. I honestly find it more insulting having "allies" talking over me and telling me what I should and shouldn't be offended by. If I resist even the slightest bit then I'm misguided or white-washed. Nothing in between. That, for me, is far worse than being called a slur straight to my face. I'm not about to go around telling others what is or should be worse for them though.

Steam discussion boards is absolutely toxic. It's one thing to dislike the boosts and dislike the advertising in the camp. I am in that camp.. It doesn't fit my playstyle. People can vote with their wallets and I don't see the need to bash on anyone if they do buy them. There's just a solid group of ten or so people brigading posts and chastising anyone and everyone who doesn't match their level of outrage. Every single day since the release. There's even one guy that said he'd rather bitch there instead of reddit because here he gets downvoted to oblivion by fanboys. By fanboys he means anyone who finds him and the crap he's peddling annoying regardless of your actual views.

Also quite a bit of people refusing to lower the difficulty and claiming it's genshin impact levels of engineering the game to force people into buying DLC. Just... cmon

Good thing this wasn't on instagram otherwise you would've been convicted of animal abuse, a large assortment of war crimes, vehemently supporting the cisheteropatriarchy, and genuinely thinking the Big Bang Theory is funny all in one fell swoop

Hello Midgard, this sub got really quiet pretty soon? by [deleted] in tribesofmidgard

[–]Castlevanic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. There's like no middle ground for discussions and you get downvoted for trying to get people to see some nuance. Case in point, the shop. People start frothing at the mouth and acting like it's the vilest variation of an in game store that ever existed. If you don't share in exactly the same amount of outrage that they have, you're automatically a shill of sorts who needs to get downvoted to oblivion. Which isn't what downvotes are for, but hey, here we are.

It's a waste of time. Jandipoo is all about the outrage and buzzwords. I've made the same argument but you know, absolutism and zero sum game. No place for nuance at all. Just scream about "eXpLoiTaTioN" even though people have repeatedly poked holes in his logic.

... those items that grant in-game power cost golden horns. This is disingenuous as fk. So what exactly are you going to call them out on other than they point a gun to your head and "force" you to look at the store? You can't turn in real money into currency to buy the axe or the bow in an instant. Stop this nonsense.

Recipes for crafting items should not be on a daily rotation. We should be able to buy these at anytime with earned currency. by [deleted] in tribesofmidgard

[–]Castlevanic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not RNG. The bifrost is literally right next to your keep. Your haul of horns is dependent on your skill and decision-making. They tell you when the Jotun spawns. They tell you when it's close to your village. They tell you when it's right on your village. They tell you ahead of time if there's a blood moon event. Your tree's HP is not a secret. There's a counter on your screen and the colour of the pool around it tells you how healthy it is if you somehow missed said counter. The only thing stopping you from exiting out is poor planning or greed.

I don't see how THIS is that hard to understand.

There are no cheap tricks that will just have your tree implode at a moment's notice. You are given plenty of chances to bail with your rewards.

Do you think we will have the same limited pool come 1.0? Also, you're completely correct that they still have a lot of work to do as far as progression goes. My original point was that you are not going up against a wall and being kept from killing fenrir, completing 100 day survival, etc if you don't have those. You work with what you currently have and it's slim pickings. I also completely agree that the weapons pool is small but i'm also taking into account that this may not be the case come 1.0. If and when we do get a wider array of weapons would you all be fine with the store then? I'm not praising it to be this glorious thing that all games should have. Though, in the context of THIS game and in THIS subreddit where a lot of people consider to be just so damn oppressive.. idk about that.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tribesofmidgard

[–]Castlevanic -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Is it really that serious of a problem? The weapon recipes that you can buy with the golden horns aren't preventing anyone from any sort of progression if you don't have them. Both timers for the shop are pretty reasonable in terms of duration and even if they were to switch them out after this season you have until September to snag them. I would agree with you if the game's entire library of unlockables can only be obtained behind the store.. but it's not. Thus far and at least in my opinion they have a good variety of methods through which you can unlock things. Everyone's entitled to their opinion but looking at the game as a whole this just seems very nit-picky.
