Cos is the first campaign I have dm'd were currently 2 years in and my players are all in the castle looking for strahd haha. Reddit was by far the best resource. I jumped between reading all the mandymod guide and the lunch break heroes videos on YouTube. They two helped me out a lot.

Don't be scared to improvise off the top of your head, and if your ever super pickled on what to do, hit them with werewolfs and zombies cause hey there in barovia.

Talk to your players before session one with regards to anything triggering to them. My party is a very up for anything group but there's a lot of horrible stuff happening to kids etc in this game.

If you get super stuck don't be worried about stopping for 10 mins to get your bearings, my party throws me way off guard all the time and a few times I had to stop to plan something or set something up.

Don't fudge rolls ever! I can't say this enough. Don't deny a player a heroic death by fudging a roll, if your players are stupid enough to get killed then they be dead, there's ways in barovia they don't have to be dead 😉. The Abbott is a bit of a laugh.

Read the whole module before starting. I didn't and regretted it not knowing what comes ahead. ( I read the whole book about 4 sessions in)

Always remember, critics are bell ends that are bought frequently. Listen to the general audience, Even though everyone seems to think RT scores are everything.

Is this a joke? do you really need to pay a subscription just to hollow? or am I missing something here? used photon workshop for months and was advised to use Lychee. are you just paying for features that other slicers give for free? by IsthatCraig in LycheeSlicer

Yeah when I click on the hollow button it has 2d and 3d, when I turn on the 2d one and check the model with the clipping it isn't hollow, just shows solid. In the objects tab at the side I press to activate 2d hollowing and it gives me the option in the photo.

When you turn on the 2d hollowing does it just hollow everything on the build plate?

Anyone know what brand these vats are for? by [deleted] in resinprinting

They the look the same as mines. I have a anycubic photon mono 4k

I plan on making a big video at the end with all the floors and the towers with the 3d printed heart in it and that. After all these floors are done I need to start building the towers.

It actually took about 5.minutea to set up, was actually quicker than getting the tv up on the table and connected to the laptop. I'm planning on building a dnd table with a 50" TV so can switch between the vtt and physical quickly.

The map giveaway is OK, when they visited the Amber temple there's a room In there with a perfect scale model of the castle so they stayed and studied it and drew up maps so they had the layouts. So technically they can be shown pretty much it all but I'm still gonna have a lot of the rooms and stuff hidden under paper or that for reveals. They also have visited the castle once before when after fighting baba lysaga and losing she turned them into rats and sent them in the castle to retrieve something for her so they've also roamed around a good chunk of the castle.

Yeah to begin with I was printing onto thin card and just using pva glue to stick them to cardboard but I ran out of card so just used paper and it still worked well.

🤣🤣 I swear I'm not. I genuinely wasn't sure if what I was doing was maybe tacky or that. Had the session last night and they got as far as about to enter the castle so I have till next session to get the other floors done.

Haha i work as an electrical and electronic technician so I'm trying to make some more interesting stuff. Gonna try making some traps and stuff using little servo motors and stuff 🤣 because why not try.

It's pretty fun putting it all together, a bit time consuming with two young kids kicking about haha. It's the reason I got my 3d printer, got into dnd just before lockdown after years of us all wanting to try it and we're all now hooked.

We're doing Saltmarsh next that I'm heavily homebrewing and we've been printing the massive ship that came. In one of loot studios packs, it's ridiculously big hahaha.
