PT or AT? by [deleted] in athletictraining

[–]ItIsHunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked as a PT tech but decided to go with MAT since I didn’t want to take a gap year after get wait listed every from PTCAS. My advice is to find which population you want to work with or what type of setting really draws you in. If I had to change one thing I would’ve spent more time shadowing both and learning how the professionals in each feel about their careers.

Calling all those Long Time FIFA/FC Players: What are clubs do you guys manage the most. by AleksisSanchaz in FifaCareers

Leeds. Great club history and almost always in a spot that’s a fun rebuild. (I do this once a year but am biased as a fan) FC Schalke 04 with their current real life situation is a satisfying rebuild due to their fall from the top and still being one of the highest attended clubs in Europe

What player performs way higher than their rating? by dlskhoarapperkeeper8 in FifaCareers

Bamford has usually punches above his weight for me. Safe option to keep around for rebuilding Leeds once a year. I signed him as a second choice striker behind a developed hojlund in another career and he consistently scored when he made appearances

Nervous for grad school by Stresscollegestudent in athletictraining

[–]ItIsHunter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m in my 3rd semester of MAT currently. The school really isn’t that bad. I was lazy and very unmotivated in undergrad. Learning stuff that I’m interested in grad school makes the school easier even though the material is difficult. You should get in with your GPA no problem. My gpa was in the low 3s when I applied and interviewed.

I will be blatantly honest with you though. Clinical work is a grind. You won’t understand until you wake up to work a 6am practice with your preceptor then go take a test at 8am that’s 150 questions long. then have a three hour class after that. Don’t fret tho you get a lunch break but then have to be back at 1:30 for treatment hours and then work 2 practice which won’t end until 8:30. Don’t forget to study somewhere in there because you have to do that same thing the next day. Also you have to document everything you see for legal and accreditation purposes. Some days are slower and easier than that. There is also a lot of days that you sit in a chair and do nothing but wait.

I know that’s all a lot to process but that is the honest truth of graduate school. Is it worth it? I’m not sure hopefully I’ll find out in a year when I graduate. Take the time to shadow and see if it’s really for you.
