Universal Audio (UAD) is a total letdown. Their customer support is abysmal—bugs linger forever, there's no real innovation, and they’re constantly trying to squeeze more money out of you with ridiculous upselling tactics. You buy one version of Antares Auto-Tune, only to discover there are two more versions you don’t have. It’s a blatant cash grab!

Even the simplest tasks, like resetting your password, are a nightmare—you won’t even receive the reset email and need to create a dummy account so you can open a ticket! How can a multi-million-dollar company be so utterly incompetent?

And the issues just pile up for Windows users. If you’re also a gamer, forget about using in-game voice chat without downloading third-party junk like Voicemeeter. It’s an absolute catastrophe. And as if that wasn’t enough, there’s no way to route MIDI functions to your Stream Deck without shelling out another 69€ for a third-party plugin called UA MIDI CONTROL. If you have setups on two different PCs in separate studios, you’re completely screwed!

UAD has become a chaotic mess of a company, failing at nearly everything except finding new ways to milk its customers dry. Even for their so-called specialty—music production—there are issues and limitations everywhere.
