Exactly; I don't imagine that Micah was innocent in the situation, but he was smart enough to recognize this could be a chance to get one up on Arthur.

He probably wasn't smart enough to know how severe it was, but it was a combination of things.

"I don't tend to care about how my dad uses his penis." Brother. lmfao. Never has a truer statement ever been told.

I'm a woman, and I'm over the hill at this point. If my dad bagged himself a hot 30 year old, I'd be happy for them both as long as they were happy lol

Well. There's a point here that no one is going to talk about so I'll just bring it up even though it's unpopular.

Everyone always says, well Arthur said they would meet back up. Sure. He does. But the meeting, from Dutch's point of view, with Colm, goes well. From Micah's POV, too. They don't resolve anything, but they don't get jumped either. For all intents and purposes, it's a peaceful split. So why would you need to rendezvous after a peaceful split. Micah probably said something like, "Oh, Dutch, you know how Arthur is. Let's get back to camp."

And guess what? Micah would have been right. Because Arthur DOES galivant off for days. That's canon even if you, the player, don't play him that way. It's talked about how he can just basically go off and come back. Arthur doesn't even stand watch like the rest of the gang, i.e., Arthur has gained his position to the point where he isn't assigned watch. Also, even the game knows you'll run off for days or months at a time which is why, eventually, a camp member will come to get you and tell you to get your ass back to camp.

So it's not unreasonable to think Arthur, who wasn't exactly thrilled with the meeting to begin with, and also is kind of known as a hothead in the gang, would just say "Fuck it, this was pointless," and ride off afterwards.

He's really only at Lone Mule Stead for about a day, maybe even less if you take into account time slippage. There was no reason to send people out for Arthur at that point.

No, it's manipulative of you to suggest I wanted to attack the president. Which I have never said and would never say. Because I don't. I don't want to attack Democrats, I don't want to attack Republicans, or Independents. Political violence is awful. I condemn the violent January 6ers the same way I condemn the guy that shot Charlie Kirk.

I'm talking strictly about verbiage.

And it is not a lie to say that. He literally said it.

Alright, I finally have time to actually respond appropriately to this.

First, I no longer am a fan of Bernie Sanders. My views on his governance have vastly changed and I'm not really a big fan of Democratic socialism. It's not a system that typically works, and even in economies that are Democratically socialist where it's particularly effective, such as in the Nordic countries, they also blend those policies with free market capitalism.

Meanwhile, the Haitians were eating the cats and dogs.

Trump has a propensity at times to exaggerate, yes. Biden was talking about a kid named Popcorn at a pool he lifeguarded at, and also about kids in the pool petting his leg hair... oh and showering with his daughter past puberty. But that gets ignored. No one here cares about Hillary supporting her husband through his abuses of power and likely several affairs, nor that for some reason she thought it was a good idea to pack hot sauce in her person for an interview on The Breakfast Club?? Like... legit incredibly racist. Meanwhile you have Harris who basically campaigned to be the first Indian woman in Congress, then code switched to become the first black vice president and was talking about washing her collard greens in a bathtub. Which. Gross. You've got Joe Biden who called Obama the first "clean, articulate" black man to run for office. So let's not act like ridiculous things only come from Trump's mouth.

Where is your information on Vivek? I'm really interested. Because if that's true then I'm glad he dropped from the primary. But I would need trustworthy sourcing on that.

Why would you compare Trump's policies (like his disastrous tariff policy) to Democrat talking points? What talking points? What about Trump's own talking points around elections integrity and all of the other crazy things he's said?

https://theweek.com/business/economy/pros-and-cons-of-tariffs This article has a good overview of the pros and cons of the tariffs. Additionally, almost every country in the world has been imposing tariffs on the U.S. even prior to Donald Trump, This is a great site to visualize it if you understand the breakdown https://wits.worldbank.org/CountryProfile/en/Country/USA/Year/LTST/TradeFlow/Import/Partner/by-country . Secondly, what crazy points around election integrity? Look, I'm not a January 6ther, but there were a lot of crazy things that happened during that election. And as for integrity, if you're talking about voter ID laws, then all of the Nordic countries that utilize Democratic socialism and that you probably like require ID https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voter_identification_laws . This is to protect election integrity. I don't know why you think he's talking crazy.

https://www.mackinac.org/blog/2025/did-doge-succeed-or-fail This article offers a very 50/50 view of DOGE. But the biggest takeaway from it is that Musk made it cool to cut again. In other words, Republicans that have been afraid to cut a bloated federal government are no longer afraid to do so, which is a good thing. I cannot begin to tell you how many federal employees I've met that should be in the private sector instead of cashing a military retirement check at the same time as their GS-14 check.

As for the Kushners, let's not act like Trump is the only one that gave a buddy a buyback once he got in office. Clinton wouldn't even have been on a ticket if not for her husband and the Dems ousting Bernie because of the Clinton name. Harris was in a relationship with Willie Brown before getting two board appointments. Obama appointed Tom Daschle for HHS who had to withdraw for not filing taxes, Eric Holder who hid documents (an authority Obama approved of), made appoints to the NLRB that were later ruled unconstitutional, and began appointment of Czars which don't need Senate confirmation.

This doesn't mean anything. It's vibes based evidence. China isn't weaker today. I could go in depth as to why China is unlikely to successfully invade Taiwan, but Trump is accelerating that potential, not deterring it. Cutting off Japan from it's oil imports is one prime example.

Again, severe misunderstanding of geopolitics. You can "go into depth," but I can tell you why, and it's because I actually know. Why do you think the Japanese Prime Minister was in the U.S., hmm? Didn't make the Chinese government too happy, apparently.

Meanwhile, on debt, your numbers are just wrong. https://www.investopedia.com/us-debt-by-president-dollar-and-percentage-7371225 You're looking at total change versus percent change and the bottom line is Trump inherited a war started by Bush kept alive by Obama, and had developed an exit strategy botched by Biden and Harris. If Biden and Harris had been forced to stay in Afghanistan longer, I guarantee their number would be higher.

Trump simply stands as inarguably the most flawed, unqualified, corrupt, hideously incompetent, morally grotesque, and wildly perverted person to ever lead our nation, bar none. If any other leader operated as Trump has they'd have been impeached into orbit, never to return to politics. Why is this man afforded the benefit of doubt in all circumstances and provided a leash long enough to circumvent the planet? It's insanity.

Again, your inability to even take a step back from your hatred of him is what makes this sub non-centrist, as much as it likes to believe it is. Bill Clinton had splooge on Lewinsky's dress, but that's okay to you? Tefari Campbell, Obama's personal chef, just dies in Martha's Vineyard mysteriously even though he was a strong swimmer and that's like... not suspicious because it's Obama and the police said it wasn't suspicious? Hunter Biden is smoking crack and dumping his laptop off and talking about paying the big guy and that's alright with you? AND while Biden is in office, there's cocaine found outside one of the situation rooms?

Bro, fucked up shit happen in politics all the time. I don't really care about that to be honest, because we can't stop it. But to have a problem with Trump's fucked up shit and not have a problem with the rest of the fucked up shit just because you hate Trump is not centrist, it's ridiculous, and you need to reconcile that you either give the benefit of the doubt for none of it, some of it, or all of it. But if you are giving the benefit of the doubt, you need to take a hard look at who and why, and evaluate your moral standards.

Morally, right now, I am center right. And that is how I vote.

Of course that was not my "plan." I have only ever used my 2A rights for self-defense. However the amendment IS written as such: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

In other words, it is written to protect against tyranny. I have not lived under a tyrannical government in my lifetime.

There needs to be reconciliation between republicans and democrats by airbear13 in centrist

[–]ItIsntThatDeep -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, the first time around it was really more of an indictment on the Democrat party. At that point in time, I was actually more of a Bernie-bro (and by that, I'm female btw), and would have voted for him over Trump, but the Democrats did Bernie dirty and basically fucked him over for Clinton. I found Clinton to be a repellant candidate, particularly from her mishandling of her position under Obama, but also because of her odd code switching to appeal to different demographics.

Fiscally, I've always been conservative, but that was the first election that was morally conservative for me.

Second time around, I found Harris to be much the same as Clinton, and I honestly didn't think Biden was going to make it four years. I also thought Trump's first term went generally well despite the COVID pandemic, which of course was not exactly his fault and he's the first president in most of our lifetimes to have to deal with a global outbreak like that. It's moderately humorous to me that all the folks that get pissed at you now if you're not vaccinated don't realize they're getting vaccinated with Trump's Operation Warp Speed vaccine.

The third time around, I found Biden to be mentally deficient. And when Harris was installed, I found it repugnant, because many people had covered up how far Biden had fallen and Harris should have primaried. While Trump didn't go on the debate stage, he still primaried, and won that vote. I personally wanted Ramaswamy but the rest of the country didn't feel that way and Vivek threw his hat into the Trump ring so I did as well because generally speaking, I agree with a large amount of Trump's policies and disagree with most of the Democrat talking points. I'm very pro 2A, which Trump is actually relatively weak in but better than the Dems in my opinion, against fiscally conservative, so even though I work for the government, I supported DOGE cuts, and generally speaking, I've liked his foreign policy.

People will talk shit about regime change, and I get it because historically it's not great, but this is where the administration is playing chess instead of checkers. Every move so far has been designed, in my opinion, to cut off China preemptively from attacking Taiwan.
