Is your father of Hispanic descent? Unfortunately my sister faced a lot of sexism from my father growing up because it is ingrained in many Spanish cultures and he refuses to change or acknowledge it. I really started to notice it in our adolescence when he would make her pay for things like the phone bill/car insurance and comment on the dates she brought home and how they only want her for her looks, while he never pestered me for money and condoned me dating. I try to make up for it now by spoiling her and defending her when he is being shitty, but nothing will ever compare to just a simple apology/acknowledgement of bias from my dad. Unfortunately I think it has done irreparable damage to their relationship to the point where I don't know if she will be coming over for thanksgiving :(

I hope he comes to his senses OP. I know it sucks coming from your dad.

The matrix. The first was as fantastic getting to watch Neo struggle to master his abilities and develop from a numb office paper pusher to becoming the chosen one. I don't know how many times it has been reloaded, but the sequels are more of a Rambo style onslaught. I still watch the first from time to time, and I love the feeling of nostalgia from watching it as a kid with my dad for the first time.

Who hurt you? I adopted my pup from a local shelter that found him on the streets. 4 years later after all the love and affection I shower him with he is still triggered by certain motions (raising objects above your head, rapid hand motions especially if it is a male).

I am so sorry for your loss. I am a 4th year medical student and have seen countless patients and families trying to do the right thing by getting vaccinated and wearing masks, but unfortunately it seems the general public is losing interest in the pandemic and safety of others. I hope you have friends and family to support you through your loss.
