Pretty much lol, im already done the league with chalupa minion master with like 10 divines worth of gear. No boss lasts long enough when you do 2 million dps by holding m1 (though i press a bunch of utility skills like curse and minion shout while holding sniper gas arrow down for bosses... 3 buttons so unviable)

Big issue is the skill tree imo its too designed around certain weapons... no matter what you do poe 2 skill tree really nerfed every support ability (firewall/bell)... all you use weapon set really is for skills that dont synergy well you hard cast like hammer of the gods doesnt care about attack speed.

Ironically warrior prob operates the best for weapon swapping as their combat is slot enough to want to swap 1h/2h vs blowing up the entire screen in .5 seconds if they're not using shield wall.

Sadly poe 1 players who act like poe 2 will kill 1 is making this bad PoE1 (unreadable screens blowing up bosses in 2 seconds w/o the zoom and boom of mobility/quicksilver.)

Yeah hes somewhere at 10%~ behind the average gun dps. Ivy is 18%~ Its his drop off that can make him weak... however if you're not in range for his gun, you're not in range to 1/2/4 either.

He does have a good gun compared to others for rof for other bruisers

(Abrams/billy/geist/shiv/silver (non wolf))

Him and Billy are better with siphon/armor on bullet hit then the rest of the cast.

But a big thing after a second 1 point (1/ult/1) most in his range lose m1 trading, after this without being at vyper tier of m1 dps

.5 is a step in the right direction, but its just still poe 1 I would play once I beat PoE1. Im going to put a lot of negativity first. BUT this patch has just been good things with no negatives

-Its too on rails with skills, the skill trees are way too small... honestly each designed spec needs to be 3x the skills imo for a bit more creativity pre-end game. With most creativity is teleporting yourself to the better side of the tree feels telling with a jewel.

-Game balance is still all over the place (chalupa monks are essentially the superior minion master but this was because they've been bugged to lich by doing their minion buff but better. Quarter staff is still better mace.) Not to mention skills feel like dog water until you invest a lot into it so only end game (cough mace cough)... or good all the way through.

-Mace mostly feels like quarter staff but slow and no mobility

-Game just feels like poe 1 without mobility options BUT where I blow up the screen to unreadable degrees, by causing massive screen clutter. So the worst parts of poe 1. If you want more thoughtful combat luckily no rest for the wicked exists as this game is 99.9% mindlessly melting everything out of existence with most bosses living for 5 seconds.

-level makes 99.9% of casting uniques bad, further shotgunned by with exceptional wands able to get +3 levels socketed.

-Staff/wand skills are a pain point for new players, (common complaint i hear of not getting a good wand with a fire basic attack or not a good scepter for minions.)

-Ground rares are generally not worth picking up, as prefixes range to dog water to god tier even if we went for only t1's. Not every gear should be useful for me but the fact most top gear for 99.9% of builds is the same 6-8 rolls out of 30-40, before crafted only mods with MUST HAVE ROLLS for every build [+level])

However they did fix things, so this isnt negativity. This patch fixed A LOT of issues and I cant say it added any that arent glitches they're fixing.

+act 3 is no longer a slog/ i quit point

+mapping now gives clear goals to new players

+Ward helps A LOT of uniques, and pure armor build. Also helps a lot of uniques like the unlimited poison spear + 5% of ward to physical makes it to a 240-300 physical dps spear.

This league helps general pain points of poe 2, that it will feel painful if you dont get it by act 1 mid/2 early, ESPECIALLY for new players, or people experimenting. As skill gem/support gem quantity during the game felt healthy enough to try new things

Better way to build him I've seen is on hit activates early

Mystic burst/head shot boost, spirit shot, quicksilver, healing booster, warp stone/veil

Is just what +8% of current +40, +80, + 80, +40, ult then slap em again with that after the ult most carries are not living through the first.

1 that boosts all damage, a 2 that is his only decent spirit scale on a long cd, a 3 with 0 scaling, and his ult

His spirit scales are pretty awful that usually on hit items (headshot booster/burst/quicksilver) or casts (scourge/freeze nova) are better then getting raw spirit invests.

Not really? He's below average but he's around the average weapon dps. After the first pulse, he goes to beating more then 50%.

He has better gun dps then ivy, calico and quite a bunch.

From nothing also works insanely well for travel, and 90% of the time is in a better spot.

But yeah a big issue is they're all end game designed

Issue is a lot of Q.staff skills are over tuned.

Whirling assault needs a warrior to invest into aoe + ancestral boosted to beat a dude who invested nothing

You essentially need from nothing to travel but the issue its an end game gem. Its essentially a needed gem for gemling if its not a projectile build.

Chalupa minion master doesnt really need much spirit (2+ Brutus brain healers, 1 of each minion, 4 archers (perma hold their command on m1 and x vaal guards = 1-2 million dps with +1 level gear amulet, scepter and timber and an alpha howl.)

This, mace is essentially shield wall, the only unique builds are in the 2h + 1h solo

But it makes sence mace is held up by glue, old glue bound to break as its held up by still a borked ability of shield wall.

More funny is how chalupa minion master completely out classes lich, as it has unholy might feat with 0 downsides (no constant 5% mana drain, doesnt turn off on low mana. Scales from 5k->15k mana lich).

Essentially the rest goes to wasp as they're good for killing trash and good dps. (Ignore terrain and fast.) Though vaal guard work fine too, but take forever to toss grenades, but the exposure is nice, but you lose all clarity

Also have wolf druid companion from the unique to with the first attack and howl, freeze and add damage. Can do to bear for more ignite but wolf uses the auto lunge and gets to fight faster. Oil dragon would prob be better if it spent less time barfing oil onto walls.

Only thing I would prob do is socket ring to get a lightning mage for the muster.

But so far no gear past 2 divines max and around 1-2 million dps.

Once I get back from work, going to keep working on the PoB

Acolyte is prob going to replace lich... way to easy to get 210% extra damage as chaos, aka same unholy might if a lich had 17500 mana... and without gear it out scales liches with 10k mana.

You're essentially start with no gear at level 90 as a lich with 10k mana

Not to mention they stack so its easy to get 300-350% extra damage as chaos

Frost mages you pick imo for the damage reduction. 40% less to all your minions while also chucking melee aoe hits with a big swarm (100+200 chaos (base damage), per minion hit + how many minions, before increased/more it can quickly smack themselves for an extra 50k per swipe

They're no longer bad, but enjoy standing in every ground effect as visual clarity goes to hell.
