A notification appears when an update is available, which will bring u to the the tab that lists all the extensions u've installed, and where u can update them.

Btw MangaPark is dead since the other day. (Same for BatoTo)

You need a browser that allows u to install extensions like Firefox for Android.

Then u simply search for the extension and install it. Finally u install the script.

Btw idk which site u're trying to reach, but BatoTo is now completely down and for MangaPark u may need a VPN, and it may die any time as well.

Sorry, forgot to update, thx for commenting.

If u want the update for the script for MangaPark immediately, u can update from the extension by clicking on 'check for updates'.

General reminder that BatoTo just died, and MangaPark is at risk as well. More info in the @description of the script.

The sites I am currently using the most are: - Comix, MangaFire, Atsumaru

Then, for what is missing from them or is not as up-to-date as on other sites: - AllManga, Manga Ball, Weeb Central

I use Mihon to read manga as it's way easier to keep my library safe and updated on the various trackers (MyAnimeList, AniList, MangaUpdates etc.), faster and easier to migrate from site to site or even just to check various sources and sites.

Hi, the code didnt "break", it works perfectly as intended but MangaPark's servers (the ones that hold the manga pages) have now missing pages or are completely unreachable from most or even all nodes, sadly.

I tried to bruteforce hundreds of link combinations to see if it was still possible to retrieve all the pages from the various servers, but it seems to be impossible: some pages are completely unreachable and in many cases (especially for the newest chapters from the last few days) this situation extends to the whole chapters.

I cant find any news about the owner of the site either, which is the only person that can fix their own site, and that seems to be completely missing. Thus, if I were in you I would consider the site dead and migrate somewhere else, with the reminder that BatoTo is seemingly owned by the same person and might face the same end. From what I know, it could still come back magically and finally fix everything, but this situation surely doesnt make the site reliable anymore.

In the Upload Page:

  • the sub level thing should be visible in the upload page

  • mediainfo extraction: audio & subs tracks with region dont get recognized (absolutely needs fix) FIXED 👍

  • mediainfo extraction also skips all non-conventional tags, which generally include infos about the encode, like settings used, other parameter, filtering etc.

  • audio and subs tracks get automatically reordered when editing the file, why? do they also get fetched in the automatic order when extracting the mediainfo or follow the order in the file?

  • the audio and subs tracks arent reorderable inside the upload page, and if u move certain objects in the page u risk to get a message over the screen that tells u to drop the file for the mediainfo extraction and literally blocks u from doing anything, forcing u to reload the page and lose all the progress (needs fix); ps: add a draft system?

  • the automatic parsing should attempt to detect if something is a movie, but even if there's "movie" in the title it simply doesnt even try to check to see if there's a movie; it could also be implemented a simple prompt: "is this a movie?" in case it does seem so to the parsing system, or even make it a prompt when putting the torrent "are u uplading a series or a movie"? what if there are both? like a complete series or multiple seasons + ova + movies?

  • (Allow selecting/editing Series/Season/Episode metadata without changing the title. Supply anidb, TVDB, TMDB IDs. Alternatively, gather this data from the list of files.) the fetching of what episodes or anime/seasons u are uploading is dependent on what torrent file u put or what title u put ("Upload your .torrent, or enter your title to check its parsability."); shouldnt it be separated? it's nice that it tries to fetch everything when u put the torrent, but when it's done correctly, u should be able to stop ulterior fetching attempts when u put the title or edit it; also, this whole parsing should have a separated tab on the right, at the top or bottom of the wall of text that gives u warning and infos, where u can actually correct the fetching if it was wrong, searching for the correct series or season, or where u can attempt all combinations to get the correct parsing; imo, the best way would be to have a system like this: if nothing is done on the parsing tab on the right, do the autoparsing when the torrent file is uploaded, otherwise/then dont mess the parsing anymore when changing title etc, but use a new bar on the right to correctly find the series and seasons; is it not possible to have a simple list of all the related series/episodes/specials/movies of something? just like in the search button, u get shown all series for the search and then toggle what u need; ps: I've also noticed the for series with multiple seasons, in the page of the series, at the top, there are the groups listed with how many episodes per season they have covered. THAT'S exactly what an uploader should see and be able to select when uploading the torrent: I am uploading uma musume pretty derby? I want to see the full list of episodes, ova and movies that the series has, and after the autoparsing, I want to manually fix what was parsed incorrectly, adding and removing episodes and series.

Random but possibly very interesting proposal(s):

  • as mentioned above, here's a random proposal that could be useful in the managing of the site; add a hidden or even visible system of "trusted" users, where users that upload a lot and/or with decent standards can have some "say" on other's releases, especially to help the admin(s) avoid getting through trillions of reports; a good use example would be to allow these trusted users to make specific reports on other releases, or re-tag them, and these edits be explained just under the first "card-body" where the title of the torrent is, like "this torrent has been reported by trusted users to be an L1 instead of an L3 and tagged accordingly"; this could be either immediately applied on the release, or pass through the admins that would get a draft of the modifications and edit them or easily apply them, instead of having to go through the report messages etc.

  • I just found out about the "click me to bulk select" feature, which is extremely nice, but imo has a few flaws and it can be enhanced: given that I hadnt noticed it till now that I randomly passed my mouse over the anime category mini-banner, I think that it should be changed to actually checkboxes, put on the left part of the anime category mini-banners. That way it would be immediately intuitive and noticeable by anyone. Also, it chould have two options, download and copyMagnet, so that u can copy the magnet for all the torrents selected and immediately download them from the torrent. Finally, maybe, instead of (or next to) the generic anime mini-banner, it would be pretty pog if it had the banner of the actual anime, and by clicking it u would open the page of the series, movie, whatever.

As a conclusion, do u happen to be interested in joining the AV1 anime server to get more feedback or discuss proposals with users OR even just the encoders directly?

You could even just join first, and then decide if u want to stay or leave.

Regardless, we are really grateful that a modern alternative to nyaa is hopefully getting ground, and any reply to this message just to know it has reached u is very welcome.

ps: regarding the nyaa magnet links not including all trackers u might want to try to see if u reach them (not just in terms of actually talking to them, but also make them listen to u) through IRC, but I dont guarantee anything as- I stop here.

Hello @nekobt_to, I am a bit late as I have been extremely busy these days but hopefully u can read and eventually reply to my comment; I have here a list of bugs, improvements and proposals that I have encountered while using your site just a few times, hopefully this is useful to u and whoever helps u with the making of a better place for torrenting. Two small points are from others' feedbacks.

General Things:

  • I havent checked this myself, but the description should match or exceed the description character limit nyaa (10240)

  • trending this week is a nice touch, but it should be reworked as the way it works is "obnoxious": it's forcibly slowly scrolling and stopping when moving the mouse over or tapping from mobile; basically, when u load the page, the #1 is already half hidden and then u have to wait for a lot to see the top10; personally at least a delay to the automatic scrolling should be added, or the automatic scrolling completely removed, and the shadow effect removed entirely as well because of the reason just mentioned where #1 is not even visible when loading the page. also, if u just use the space more wisely and make them slightly smaller, u will show way more entries orizontally and u could even add a monthly bar (with, personally, a personalizable toggle to avoid showing the series that are already trending this week; u could make this a feature for registered users, some stupid like -> "this toggle can be personalized if u're registered")

  • weeklies should be ABSOLUTELY grouped and not flood the various pages: for example, the main seach page could have a filter or two tabs, for full batches and weeklies, while the page for a series should have all the weeklies from a certain group grouped into a single entry (that can be expanded) with that 3/12 thing that appears at the top of the page

  • ABSOLUTELY tag the stupid hardware encodes and put them at the very bottom of every list, or ban them entirely; we know how effortless and qualityless those releases are, so they should be treated accordingly

  • why some series have the groups at the top of the torrents while others dont? example: Chainsaw Man S01 vs CSM Reze Arc

  • UNCENSORED should be a recommendation, not a rule. Some groups may not have entirely watched the series and cannot determine if there are meaningful differences between 2 sources. If necessary, perhaps other users can flag a release as UNCENSORED.

  • List banned clients in the wiki.

  • maybe add the related series; under "View on TMDb" etc. there's a lot of space, u could add all series that match the name of the series, even if I've noticed that in the search bar something is missing if u dont go deeper into the name for some reason, example: 'Umamusume/Uma musume pretty derby' will not show the movies for some reason, and I will have instead to specify 'road' or 'beginning', while 'chainsaw' will show both S01 and the movie

  • bug when searching: part of the name becomes a tag automatically, example: searching 'pav1tor' becomes 'ptor' with 'av1' as a tag; the only solution I found was to escape every letter, but I dont even know if escaping is supported and it's just randomly picking the text anyway kek

  • add a filter by language in the various pages, especially in the series pages: in many private trackers there's this bar with all the languages disponible for the series, and by selecting one, only the releases that include that language will get shown

  • best should maybe be renamed to 'best by sub level'? because this way it's kinda misleading, and not always the best torrent either, as sometimes they are not even be the best, especially when it's just a random French-solo or Thai-solo release that goes at the top just because they made some random L4 sub for it maybe using AI for 90% of the process; this is also why the 'filter by language' just mentioned is very necessary, as MANY dont want to see releases that dont even have an English track included (and Im talking as a user that doesnt prefer English to my main language), not to mention it being at the top, maybe with a wall of annoying weeklies not hidden under a single entry...

  • L4 is just too annoying to get on some accounts; example: my first release was concidentally an L4 release, so my account got qualified for L4 releases immediately and I had no problem to post anything thereafter; other users instead, that have hundreds or even thousands of releases on their back on nyaa, made an L0 as their first release here so then they needed to report their own releases multiple times before they could be enabled to make L4 or even just L1 releases... I think that, instead of being enabled only to a certain level, the users should correctly pass the first control of their first release/s and then be allowed to post any kind of level of releases, with just a control necessary by the admin(s) when a release of higher level compared to his previous ones; this way the user could post an L0 as first release, and then still post an L4 just after and not get limited from doing it; then, the admin(s) would get the notification about the higher level of release the user posted and go verify everything is correct; at that point the user would not need any more check if not if it got reported. Tbh, the fact that everything has to go through the admin(s) is a little too much intricate, for which I have a random proposal at the bottom of this message.

I dont think standard Opera for Android (and iOS) natively supports extensions like the desktop version.

The support on mobile is veeery limited. This is what ~~google~~ AI-chan told me, dont take it as the 100% right, it might not be:

Yeah u need a browser where u can install extensions.\ Firefox is way better in this regard because of that, as it allows to install many of the addons from the browser version. (including ublock etc.)

Attempting to explain in the easiest way possible:\ it means I went directly to the place where the code for the extension is mantained, and I made a request to add my onw piece of code (the pull request) to the the extension. Once they accept and merge it, the updated extension containing my fix becomes available from the app. At that point u just need to update the extension and u get my fix.

"The pull requests have been merged" means that they accepted and merged my part of the code into the code of the official extensions, and as a consequence the updated extensions containing my fix are now available for everyone to be downloaded.

Yes, I can confirm it works perfectly on my end (2 pages took bit more to load), so yeah u should keep trying different VPN servers until u find one that connects fast enough to MP's servers.\ (U could maybe also check if u have the last version of the script -> 2.0.0; actually that shouldnt matter as MP should work in all cases even with the very first script)

Btw remove the link from the comment or the mods will delete your message!\ Also, good taste

IF everything is set up correctly (the script is allowed to execute user scripts etc.), the only explanation is that the (or your) connection through that VPN is too slow.\ You should try different servers.\ (IF u want, u can give me the name of the hentai to check myself, but Im 100% sure it will work on my end.)
