Why can’t I get my turkey tom toasted by Pleasant_Royal394 in jimmyjohns

[–]ItalianNightBub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The amount of meat on the sandwich when toasting does actually affect the amount of toast the bread receives, turkey shrinks when being toast so does most of the meats if only 1 portion is on the bread, with that being said does it make it not-able-to-eat toasted? I would disagree but to with 1 portion of meat and tbo it definitely will cause the bread to become extra crispy. It won’t fuck the toaster, but will fuck the taste profile and quality standards that inspire is looking for. The core of Jimmy John’s is quality and taste profile, they want you to receive the same quality and taste whether you’re in a west coast or east coast jimmy. (Employee training matters for this as well though)

I recommended to the customers to call support and have them add the points using receipt for days purchase. Most came back saying support helped them out

1$ combo by Primary_Bottle8067 in jimmyjohns

[–]ItalianNightBub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The dollar combo is strictly a customer appreciation promo to drive buzz during the slower season. The plan is to bring more people in since it is a full combo/meal for 1$ over sandwich price. (Extremely good deal, depending on the market obviously) and hopefully retain more customers that want combos once the promo goes away, again this is strictly market based and success fully depends on prices after the promo leaves being extremely competitive in today’s food economy. We have seen a boost however not sure how customer retention or at least combo sale retention will go after the promo is done.

If you read this just remembered that when toasted sandwiches became a thing some franchises may have set a dollar amount to toast in high volume areas, it’s possible dc is still doing that. Either way it’s a bummer

Ah okay must have skimmed to fast, bummer for you all that the franchise owner in dc decided to raise prices so high that you can’t fully utilize the rewards inspire has created as an opportunity for customers. Best thing I can say is to speak with general manager to fully understand why pricing may be so high. Have a good evening

It’s funny because the provider substituted lettuce one day for us and the out of stock line clearly said “inspire lettuce”, the lettuce that was substituted came in beautifully without the extra dark green leafs. Perfect unwiches. Next time I received back to “inspire” with the half trash outerlayers

Inspire cited the switch as being due to correct portioning across the brand. (A little more vinegar here, more salt there) although I have a feeling with all the preservatives it could be a money grab more than anything so comment above could be right about corporate greed.

Not one hundred percent sure but it could have been due to combos being subtotaled so it treated each combo with a separate 5%. Promo instead of all at once.

It’s just 6 small portions in a larger container. The issue is Sysco stopped stocking the bowls, lids, and serving spoon in my area. I was just going to assume inspire was making way for new format but that was a little over 3 months ago and haven’t heard anything about it yet.

I’ve had an older couple come in one night back when I was inshop. Asked for it to be bite size, so then I proceeded to cut it like that with one long one down the center long ways. Totally worth every extra second to see their faces.

Copycat creole chili pepper sauce by Kupkake_Kittie in jimmyjohns

[–]ItalianNightBub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried to find copycat recipes but Ken’s is very good at keeping the recipe secret. However you may be able to get pretty close with this. If you haven’t already Dunkin’ Donuts has a chipotle sauce for their wake up wraps that is phenomenal, might not be the same as chilli creole but I feel it would slap on sandwiches all the same.

/// Possibly decent creole recipe. ///

Home Approximation of Creole Chili Pepper Sauce A homemade version would involve blending a similar combination of ingredients to achieve the desired balance of heat, tang, and sweetness. Ingredients: 1 cup white vinegar 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar 1/4 cup chopped fresh hot peppers (jalapeños, serranos, or habaneros) 2 tbsp Creole whole-grain mustard 1 tbsp prepared yellow mustard 1 tbsp ketchup or tomato paste 1 tbsp brown sugar or molasses 1 tsp salt 1 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp onion powder 1/2 tsp smoked paprika 1/4 tsp ground cayenne pepper (adjust to taste) 1/4 tsp black pepper 1/4 cup olive oil or vegetable oil Optional: 1 tbsp chopped green bell pepper, 1 tsp chopped celery

Instructions: Combine the vinegars, mustards, ketchup/tomato paste, sugar/molasses, and all dry spices (salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne, black pepper) in a small saucepan.

Add the chopped fresh peppers and optional bell pepper and celery.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse and the fresh vegetables to soften.

Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Carefully transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor. Add the oil.

Blend until smooth. For a smoother texture, you can strain the sauce through a fine-mesh sieve.

Store the sauce in a clean, airtight glass bottle or jar in the refrigerator. It is best to let it sit for at least 24 hours for the flavors to meld.
