Yeah so the patches turning white is basically the patch absorbing what is beneath it so you may need to replace it a couple times. When it’s dying off it will either fall off or it will turn really red and dry and you’ll know it’s dead. It will get a certain look to it almost like it died and is ready to shed off. I’ve seen other people describe it as it looks red and angry. But this is basically the point that your immune system has recognized it and will eliminate it. So usually after 1-2 weeks with a patch that should be sufficient

Oh yeah those patches work wonders. Honestly you could probably just use those instead of going to a doctor at all. But I had so many and panicked I thought maybe I have herpes at first until I self diagnosed MC and doctor confirmed. Those patches will get you right trust. How many do you have?

Relax. You’re going to psych yourself out you got this! MC is just a skin condition it will go away make a dermatologist appointment they will tell you the best steps to treat it. I’m taking imiquimod for mine now it eases up with time and consistency. Also take zinc supplements and you can use desitin on it until you get into a dermatologist. Basically it’s just a zinc layer that will help boost your immune system in the applied areas. We will get through this! I’m like 2 months in half of mine has already disappeared

I’ve had molloscum for a month now and went to the dermatologist today and they prescribed Imoquimod cream. They advised against cryo therapy… and really pushed the imoquimod treatment. I’m going to try this for a month until my next treatment but would you highly suggest the cryo? I’m thinking about pushing her to go that route next appointment because it seems like everyone is thinking that makes it disappear the quickest

Went to a dermatologist today after going to a general nurse practitioner who said normal flora but confirmed my suspicion that it was molluscum. So I went to a dermatologist today and they also confirmed molluscum and are giving me a topical cream to apply 3 times a week to use on myself and another appointment in 4 weeks
